Cheers Dan.......I've just got the damn car back together after fitting the puddle lights and now I have to take it apart again to fit these! lol Another nice video buddy!
Hi Dan! Like your work and this is a nice addition to the car indeed. However, was it a 12V USB plug? Or a 5V ? In case it was the last you shouldn’t wire it directly to your 12V circuit. For the wiring to the R12 connector (ceiling light) that’s perfectly possible as you intended to do. Both are switched by the ROOM_LAMP fuse. 😉 one wire serves the welcome effect while the other remains live when the car is unlocked/not in power saving mode. You can’t activate the footwells by turning on your ceiling lights though, the switch is on the printplate itself and only serves the w5w lights. 😉 I used both to have white LED footwells when opening the doors and rgb soft lightening when driving. Didn’t want to spoil your channel with my vids but you may be familiar with them already to check this way of wiring out. Cheers 👊🏻
Hi Dan you are amazing wealth of knowledge. I bought a kit (not same as you) installed it as you did, but when I get out and lock car and then open the car it does not stay on white. I have to use the remote to reset to white. It does not stay on white once turned off and have to do it manually each time. Any ideas mate. I connected them to puddle lights as you showed on video. Thanks for all your efforts and good work mate.
I can only assume it's the kit you bought. Maybe it doesn't have a save state in it. I've fitted 2 of these to mine and someone else's qashqai (wired differently as well) and they saved the last colour used.
Hi Dan watched video as usual very good. But when I wired them to puddle lights the puddle lights became dimmer. Then the electrics went and battery drained. Any ideas what I may have done wrong please. Cheers mate and thanks for great videos. Stay safe. Kind regards Gary
Dan you're the best bro. I've got the same car as yours with me and same colour. I work five days a week and waste my weekend by doing nothing lol. But thanks to you, now I've got so many modifications to do on my car during the coming weekends which will keep me busy and productive and I'm pretty exited actually. Would it be ok though, if you could make a video on the speaker upgrades if it is possible? As my passenger side speaker is ripped and I was actually thinking of changing it to a bit more higher spec speaker. Do you think it's possible for us to install bose speakers or does it have to be nissan specified ? Thanks
Thanks Edwin. Speaker upgrades maybe a future video, mine seem OK so it's kind of a "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" kinda thing 😂 As for the bose stuff, I'll have a look as I *think* there's an additional amp somewhere for the system. Also I don't think the wiring is already present in the boot for the sub.

Well this is deffo easier! 😅
Great video I am going to do that this weekend. I am going to have them on all the time when driving and just turn them off when I wish.
Yeah I think that's the easiest method to be honest.
Wish I'd done that 😅

The kit is designed for 12v car usage so i assume so. (It's still working fine over a month later)
@@TheQashqaiGuy great! But I thought it was worth to mention it as it could be important. 😉

Hmmm I'd guess your battery maybe needs testing. Alternatively you could wire them to the interior lights to see if the same problem persists?
Hi dan how did you manage to get the middle console up i cant find anything small enough to fit in the tiny grove
I'll reply on FB 🙂

Good video but overcomplicated something which is far easier than the video suggests 😮 not a criticism just an observation
