This song brings back some good memories! I remember having four fifteen inch subwoofers and a Fire and Ice amp in my Extended cab Chevy S-10 pick-up blaring this album back in the day. Cool!
Im 28, been listening to DJ icey since about 16 when i downloaded his tracks off napster, lol, back in the day. Yep, this track is just as good now at 28 sober, as it was back in my high school days.
one of the best DJ's i've ever seen in person. unlike a lot of today's big names that just play pre recorded sets, icey was mixing on the spot and ripped up a great show in portland, ore earlier this year
Hell ya Kyle v I love dj icey he is why i ever started listening to techno to begin with he is one of the greats for sure along with dj irene bam bam bad boy bill I love all them they made some of the best music I have ever heard . I so love to attend a live show were they were all head liners no that would be dope af
The Crown Mobile, Al 1999. The place was off the hook! Nothing has came close since. Great mixture of music unlike todays clubs. Yeah baby! Rampage & Blade was here!
Tampa. Damm The Boot, baton rouge, Lafayette, and NOLA was blowing up at that time. Icey was always spinning in the area. You baton rouge and there clubs Lafyette with theirs down on the strip (shout out to out limits too) then da chronic (escapades) in fat city. Sont even start with the parties at the state palace with freebass society RSP (F the crack house law and rico). And dj trashy/gbrown/skyhi/ and all the other great DJ's produced during that time along the gulf coasst from tampa to new orleans and in between (shout out to the old night town and Doc Doc and all at hudi hudias label down in sants rosa beach) Man music was life and the parties extra were pure. Life was great and that can never be repoduced again. It was pur Magic

The Crown 99', Only place in these parts to hear good break beats, and it is very well missed. We lost it all after Katrina came and brought it's refugees from La. It's 2015 and Mobile, Al needs an Enema! Bring back our beloved Breaks.
@werewolf74 Yeah he was. I knew him before he started producing tracks. Not closely or anything but we were part of the same circle of friends. By the time he started producing I was more of a househead than a breakbeat lover like I had been in the early days of my rave experiences. Dan's record company was called Kaliedascope records. They were just as big as Icey's and Baby Anne at that time. Tony Faline was big then too.
@phatmatttheriverrat We can Brother DRUM CIRCLES. I just discovered them. They are all over the place and I have met more people from the old school club scene than I can count. The Energy Lives !!!! Club Aahzz Opened My Mind. Good God!!! Now I have to deal with being "Awake" in this era. Anybody else seing weird shit in the sky?????
@vlex74 uhh, no man. The Abyss was best club in Florida ever and Aahz was bangin as well. You must have missed those days because NOBODY could go to The Abyss when it was goin off and say it sucked.
um Dubstep and DnB are pretty different. I enjoy some dub step. And the Genre of dubstep is great its just, everyone thinks they can do it with the latest software and editing stuff.
kirara2516 this was being played in 97 or 98 was def released by 98 he played it at freakfest memorial day weekend in 1998 at UNO lakefront arena at least 5,000 people and then Frankie Bones at sunrise.I can't believe it was that long ago.
Everyone seems to remember this from the 90's, but this track wasn't released until about 2005 folks. It definitely has the feel of that mid 90's vibe. I was there for all of it and I cling to it like oxygen.
Yes, I was wrong. The reissue came out around 2005. My bad. I actually have Generate. This makes me appreciate the track more now. Way ahead of it's time.
i would love to see pictures from 96 97 98 zulu party in new orleans la if anyones got anythinng i was there dj trashy crystal method and rabbit in the moon was live and a few others just looking for anyone that got to capture this moment sooo sad it wont be taking place no longer
@harlemswhitest This is not dub step. Dub step didn't exist when this song came out about 12 years ago. This music is actually called Breaks aka Breakbeat.
@harlemswhitest Nope. I don't get it either. I'm from back in the mid 90s scene, and today's "techno" is mostly drek. Dubstep to me sounds like someone took techno and combined it with death metal. It's like "angry, angsty techno for today's generation." I reckon PLUR probably died, too. :(
hahahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahaha ridiculous. Do we reckon kids from the inner city are killin it to this song? Out on football fields after school lets out? Dressed in marching band uniforms? Swing dancing and doing hip hop.... Calling Jesus Christ back?
Memories of Mistubishis and Blue Dolphins dance through my head
What about Blue Butterflies!!!! Good ole Days.. From what I can remember lol
triple stacks....
@@sleddog1013 I was told I had a good time. Photos say so, anyway.

nrm
Its considered breaks. Not house. There is a "big difference"
never forget UV

Its not Dubstep though, its considered House music. Big difference.
Wrong. Florida breaks.
@harlemswhitest this isnt dubstep
No I am the same way, its just to jerky for me and really no smooth transitions to the music, plus is has no soul to me.
hahahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahaha ridiculous. Do we reckon kids from the inner city are killin it to this song? Out on football fields after school lets out? Dressed in marching band uniforms? Swing dancing and doing hip hop.... Calling Jesus Christ back?
