0:57 The title of this game was named "Professor Layton and The Final Time Travel" in the original Japanese version. Through this movie, through this Claire's line, players finally understand what it was really meant.

When Hershel yells out "watashi wa" my heart breaks. Just the same as you clearly hear him cry at the end. Even over the song. I love this scene in all languages. All have the exact same amount of power, and they all break my heart into pieces.

"watashi wa" just means "I". he's basically choking back on emotions and trying to tell claire that even now he still loves her and she responds to him by saying "I know"

It's such an impact to hear this version and fully understand what they're saying, because the Spanish version (the one I played when I was younger) is more direct and "passionate" (I don't know how to put it in words, I hope y'all can understand 😅) with the Professor saying "I can't loose you again! I can't!". But the Japanese version.... Ah. It's so full of emotion that "I've always felt the same, all this time" (kind of rough translation, 'cause is not exactly what he's saying). But for me it's the way Japanese people say so much without saying things directly. So strong and pure. I know this is such an irrelevant comment, I just wanted to say how much I loved this video. Thank you so much! ✨
Oh, and sorry if there's any grammar/vocabulary mistake, English isn't my mother lenguage 🙇🏻‍♀️

I've been listening diferent versions, but I still like the spanish one. You can hear the moment Hershel breaks. He is always composed throughout the series. It's really heartbreaking.
De verdad te desgarra el alma, pero tienes razón, la traducción es bastante distinta a la version en español e ingles.

This will pretty much be a rough translation, it’s been so long since I studied back on Japanese lol. Anyway, I hope this gets the main idea across:
Claire: Looks like this is the end, Hershel. I have to go back, to when I left you on that day.
      Layton: Claire…
      Claire: I’m sorry, Hershel.
(Layton and Claire have their last loving moment)
      Layton: Claire!
Claire: Looks like it’s about time… I’m glad to have met you. It’s almost over. My… last time travel.
Layton: I-! Even now, I have always felt the same about you!
Claire: I know… you do. We all know. My reliable true* gentleman, goodbye… Hershel Layton. Thank you…!
(Claire leaves, Luke chases to no avail)
      Luke: Professor!
*英国紳士 _(eikoku shinshi)_ literally translates to, "English/British gentleman," but I opted to use, "true gentleman," as that's how it is translated in the Layton games (and media e.g. Eternal Diva)
