Well, I guess that is the end. I think as a critic this was an amazing series with a very reasonable ending but as a bl fan/shipper it was a horrible ending. The people we watch weekly are obviously in love with each other but aren't together at the end. Young children are forced to make life's biggest choices is not reasonable, hope to see them in the future, older and ready to love.

I agree, I've seen a lot of people complaining about the way the show ended, but this is a perfect ending for a season finale that captures the essence of the story. The fact that it's loyal to the novel is frankly very comforting to me because it made me less stressed knowing more or less what was waiting for us after finishing the novel.
I hope we can get the second season because I can't wait to see the happy ending I read in the book in the series. Thanks for the reaction.

This is one of the reasons why I appreciate the season finale so much. Because I didn't want to skip the period when they were dating in high school. There were very enjoyable scenes in the book.
Apart from that, I have to say this. In the book, Sheng Wang doesn't just separate classes. He comes to the dormitory late and they start to communicate less than before. Fortunately, this situation did not last long.
