The other day I was talking to a guy I've lost contact with but he was someone I was interested and he asked me about about my dating life. My husband waited 7 years in total. He chased me for the first year. Turn him down. So he decided to settle for a platonic relationship. That lasted 6 years. He became my best friend. While all of this was happening he would once in awhile tell me I was his wife. He always talked about marrying me. He wouldn’t seriously date other women because he said I’m his wife. So much pain comes from not waiting and having sex outside of marriage. So much to the point that I finally was able to say ok Lord, I'll wait. First time in my life I've been okay waiting. It's been over a year. I know it's the Holy Spirit in me strengthening me. Abstaining helps you to be more discliplined and focused in other areas of your life and more discerning. I was in the navy and typical deployments were no more than 6 months and when I tell you the amount of married men cheating with women in BROTHELS, you’d gag! I wa in disbelief while going on liberty in a foreign country with a HUMONGOUS bowl of condoms on the quarter deck with men with rings on their fingers grabbing literal handfuls of them. Why is it up to us to set the standard and do it God's way? As a woman who is abstinent I don't understand why we are expected to set the standard when God set the standard by telling both men and women are to abstain from sex until marriage. Men shouldn't be allowed to blame women for their act of disobedience to God. A woman throwing herself at a man or giving into his sexual pursuit of her is not an excuse for a man to disobey God. Men and women both need have their own relationship with God and obey HIM before they even get into a relationship.

I think this is why it’s best when a man is already practicing abstinence before he even meets you. Because he can “wait” for his wife, but still be sleeping around while they’re according. One point of abstaining is to build the discipline that you will need in marriage. if he’s not building the discipline, then what’s the point?
So where and how do I go out there and meet men? I'm a God fearing, Christian woman. I won't go to bars or clubs. I don't hangout with unbelieving men. The only thing that's left is church, youth gatherings. That's all I can think of. The youth group is getting younger and younger for me. I'm nearing my 30s. There's not many events in my area for singles like myself. And that's the main reason why I think I'm single. There's literally nowhere else I can think of to meet Godly men. I waited and waited all those 28 years, haven't even touched a man. As time goes by, I'm watching my friends get married, having kids. The ones that didn't wait until marriage, get married and they didn't have to wait as long as I'm waiting. The younger ones starting families. It can be very discouraging at times. I really pray I don't give up and lose hope that I'll ever meet someone worthy and get married one day.
Perhaps family and close friends could recommend possible suitors for a blind date? The singles ministry team are also good for possible referrals for a blind date setup. Wholesome bingo night outing? Art gallery? Museums? 🤷🏽♀️❤️😊

I was not but so active - less than double digit 💃🏾 - from age 22 to my early 30s (I'm 37 now) to know women think that they have to have sexual activity just to get me to have a heart to heart conversation. I've been abstaining close to 20 years now. Best decision I made in my life. I was a JW for many years, and sex outside of marriage is forbidden in that religion. I'm now I am an ex JW, and still going strong. I don't plan to marry, so I'm in it for the long haul. It can be done man or woman, if your truly dedicated to God. For women that want to marry, it weeds out the ones that's not for you. I do believe a man will wait if he believes your his wife or truly dedicated to God. Genesis 29:28 Jacob was given Rachel a week after Leah. Although he went ahead to serve for another seven years for her. He had served the first 7 for her but was tricked into marrying her sister. According to their customs, the elder had to go before the younger. Either way, those years were but days unto him for the Love he had for Rachel.

This is right on time! I have been sustaining almost 3.5 years and had thoughts of giving up the journey. I’m sick of the flakey things that come after telling a man where I am at, or like you call, the ones that bluff and lie and say they will wait and then they are trying to find a weak spot as soon as he invites you to his house. My husband waited 7 years in total. He chased me for the first year. Turn him down. So he decided to settle for a platonic relationship. That lasted 6 years. He became my best friend. So where and how do I go out there and meet men? I'm a God fearing, Christian woman. I won't go to bars or clubs. I don't hangout with unbelieving men. The only thing that's left is church, youth gatherings. That's all I can think of. The youth group is getting younger and younger for me. I'm nearing my 30s. There's not many events in my area for singles like myself. And that's the main reason why I think I'm single. There's literally nowhere else I can think of to meet Godly men. I waited and waited all those 28 years, haven't even touched a man. As time goes by, I'm watching my friends get married, having kids. The ones that didn't wait until marriage, get married and they didn't have to wait as long as I'm waiting. The younger ones starting families. It can be very discouraging at times. I really pray I don't give up and lose hope that I'll ever meet someone worthy and get married one day.

Thus, Jacob waited only seven years and one week to marry Rachel but still had to serve Laban another seven years. So, Laban received a total of fourteen years of service from Jacob. Jacob was a deceiver so he just got what he sowed!

This is right on time! I have been sustaining almost 3.5 years and had thoughts of giving up the journey. I’m sick of the flakey things that come after telling a man where I am at, or like you call, the ones that bluff and lie and say they will wait and then they are trying to find a weak spot as soon as he invites you to his house. It’s tiresome when you KNOW you never come off as the type of woman that’s sexually suggestive - going both for how I dress and speak, but they will excuse your “sex appeal” for how they approach you.
