I like that you have many prints in your wardrobe, I really enjoy wearing them, too. So many YT stylists only wear a few solid colors, usually black and beige, that I think their wardrobes are dull. Of course, solids are essential to fill out a wardrobe, but I love classic prints, too, they make outfits so much more interesting.
I love a matching set like you have, especially a skirt and blouse/shirt. I also have two new short sets I love. I always wash both pieces together, otherwise the top will fade noticeably more than the bottom, because we tend to wash the tops more often.
Excellent! A kindred spirit. I've been organising by colour since my teens because that's the way my brain works. I'm also really glad of your focus on using what you have in a variety of ways rather than being wasteful.
It’s so important to wear what you already have. I’m know that I will always want the occasional new item to freshen up my wardrobe but it has to work with what I already have too 👍😊
This is a very interesting idea to organise by colour 🤔 I currently organise by item type eg skirts, tops, dresses and within those groups by colour. I will try your way of colour first as it may make it easier to see what goes with what! I am currently having a huge declutter as due to a lifestyle change I no longer need many of my work clothes. I do however wear what may be deemed 'special' items on a day to day basis juxtaposed with items to dress them down a bit. I have already donated a large amount of quality clothing but some things are hard to let go (re my 'fantasy self' & 'just in case'. That is an anxiety about living on a much smaller income though).
May I suggest that you keep any really classic, high-quality blazers and one or two trouser suits for your new casual lifestyle? When I was forced by an injury into early retirement 20 years ago, I purged all of mine and still regret it very much, because I just can’t find comparable quality now, at any price. They were all fully rayon or silk-lined, 100% virgin wool gabardine and one had beautiful suede trim and buttons (the one I miss most). They would be back in style now. Everything nowadays is lined with polyester, which I’m allergic to and also overheats me, making the rash and discomfort worse, instead of rayon or silk. Blazers can be worn casually and a trouser suit is great for events, with modern tops and accessories.
@@kimberlyperrotis8962 Good advice. Actually a lot of my favoured items that I have kept are clothes I have had for years! I really dislike polyester and never buy or wear it. Love natural fabrics and with care they do stand the test of time.
I'm going to try organising my wardrobe by colour and will try on new combinations, because I tend to grab the same pieces over and over again, because I know they look good together. Thank you so much for another inspiring video. Have a nice weekend! 😀
Thank you for this video, Maria ! I organise my clothes by type and then by colour, which I find very helpful. I've decluttered a lot of clothes and am currently giving them to various charity shops. Some of them were too small and some were just 'meh'. Now I can see what I have in my wardrobe, which is great.
Congrats on 10k subs! Thank you for all your great videos which I’ve really been enjoying. I’m trying to transition from a completely monochrome wardrobe into one with punches of colour. Prints will be the next stage. Will use some of your tips and tricks.
Thank you 😊 find a couple of favourite colours and add a few pieces. The good thing about what you already have is that it should work with most colours. If you find a print you love you could add a few plain pieces to go with it that are in the colours of the print. That will help you create more outfits too 😀
Thank you for your tips and tricks. I rewatched several of your videos as I selected outfits for a recent beach vacation. What a help you were in making many outfits with fewer pieces, I was also able to choose accessories that did double and triple duty! 😀
Interesting organising by colour. I keep changing my mind on wardrobe organisation. Great video Maria. I feel unless I go on holiday or a short break I am not really using my wardrobe. I need to break out of that rut though. I agree that when items aren’t visible you forget about them. One of my issues is woollens and heavy coats storage. A consequence of living in Scotland. I need to find a more effective storage solution. Have a great weekend Maria. 😘
I do really like ur ideas but I live in the US so I can't buy clothes that you showcase. Would like if you could show clothes that I could purchase in the US.

I’m wearing more prints than I used to, they make me happy 😃

Great video, really good idea about colour coordination. I wouldn’t have thought of that x

Yes definitely it’s amazing once you start trying different things together how many new outfits you can create 😊

Thank you Elaine. It sounds like you might need to have a rethink about what you actually need and want to wear 😘

I have started to put US links in videos now too 👍😀
@@Mariafsadler thank you 😊 🙏
Hi is there a swim wear clip
The outfits look old & not stylish
Classics never go out of style.
I think the outfits look very nice
