HB's ADVENTURE PLAYGROUND DOCUMENTARY FOOTAGE

The Adventure Playground in Huntington Beach was constructed in the 1970s in an old gravel pit. Children were given left-over construction materials, hand tools and even a broken old boat from which they constructed play structures, forts and rafts they floated on the shallow water remaining at the bottom of the gravel pit. In this film, created on the last day at this location in 1975, play activities are shown and children and adults including Norm Worthy describe their experiences.
