Please do a shop with me online and then review the products!! I've been seeing them everywhere, Jamie Paige did it and I would love to see your thoughts!!! xx
I’m so happy that you finally posted your tools video!!! Loving all the new content! Makes me so happy to wake up to your videos more often! Coffee & Kackie...a perfect combo!!! 💕☕️♈️ 💕
I’m one of those odd people who washes brushes after every use. I have learned to watch for brushes that hold up well over time and that function effectively. Also, some synthetic brushes wash much more easily than others. My Mac brushes have really held up well for me.
I’ve been waiting for thissssss!!! Clicked so fast Update after watching: WOW this was SO HELPFUL!!! Thank you for being so thorough!!! I’m finally replacing my sephora collection brushes from when I was like 14 🤔 (turning 24 next month) so this is perfect timing! I did buy the Thrive full set of brushes, but haven’t received them in the mail yet. Can’t wait!
Thank you this was SO helpful! Since you tend to use the same brushes consistently, I feel like a person could just get the ones you've described and be all set. That's so great for those of us without a lot of time/interest to invest in figuring out which brushes do what and why :) It's so much more helpful than when other makeup youtubers who use a ton of different tools, it would be really hard to learn what would make a cohesive set from them.
Very often those biodegradable things need so so specific lab conditions that in everyday life they're just more normal trash. Would love to see someone composting this Ecotools sponge 😄
Thank you so much, Kackie, for this video! I totally agree with you about the indispensability (word?) of that stubby smuge eye brush from Thrive. I ended up going with a similar brush from BK Beauty and I love it so much for placing shadow along the undereye lash line, it is a perfect brush. That Wayne Goss eye blending brush with the more pointy tip looks awesome. Seems like it would be great for hooded eyes. Great video!
I have hooded eyes + less lid space than Kackie, and have used brushes that are a little smaller than the WG 03 but shaped similarly, and they didn't work that well for me personally. I have a brush that's a flat-top dome shape (Hakuhodo J5533) that I prefer to use.
I prefer the softer squishy makeup sponges. Those Biodegradable sponges are 2 for $10. That's really good! But my Sigma flat top kabuki puts foundation on so fast, and I lose so much time lost in painting my eyelids (😂), so I've been using only the brush.
I am a hands down flat paddle brush for my foundation girl. Sephora had one that was magnetic for really cheap and it is the best one, and smashbox ones are good too for a bigger price tag. The fuzzy sponges are awesome for foundation. And I love the blendiful🤭😂
Thank you for this informative video! Question: do you have your own way of cleaning your beauty sponges? The reason I'm asking is that I have a tendency to tear ALL beauty sponges when I clean them... No matter what brand it is, I tear them.
Idk if this helps you but I get them wet and soapy and then squish them in my hand. Picture pumping a blood pressure cuff. I just keep doing that till it runs clean
From my experience I would say beauty sponge squishiness actually does have an affect on makeup application. The more squishy the sponge the lighter the application of product and there’s a lowered ability to blend it in. Take the ultimate squishy sponge the AOA PAW PAW, the denser you get the higher the coverage and the easier it is to blend as you go. However the catch is super squishy sponges are great for blending in once the product is dispersed. They’re great at finishing blending. I think there’s a purpose for each kind.
Ya, the ecotools tapered brush is still OOS. I keep watching! Oh, and I’ve subscribed for the bio blend duo to be sent every 2 months, one for each month. Thanks, Kackie!
I am in the minority, but I pick my sponges on two counts. I want them to lay down product nicely, obviously. I ALSO want them to clean quickly without breaking. I find that certain sponges hold on to products and I waste so much soap, water, and time. My real techniques sponges have broken after a couple of uses. I can clean my beauty blender in a minute. I will typically keep one on hand that I pick up on sale.
Girl DON’T SLEEP on the It Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe French boutique blush brush. It’s one of three brushes I have backups for because it is sooooo goooood. The other two are the Thrive ‘bronzer’ brush, which I completely agree with you on and never use for powder bronzer, and the Thrive crease brush.
That 08 brush from Wayne Goss is a push brush and it's used for tightlining and pushing product right in between the lashes at the roots, not to draw a line ;) In any case, he doesn't seem to make blue squirrel brushes anymore (other than the Airbrush, which he restocks once in a blue moon).
I got my big salt palette, & am now on an agonizingly hard mission to find a brush to put in it. I’m leaning dual ended to get more use, & want atleast one side for my bronzer & contour the other side for blush. Any recommendations?
I don’t like the sponge texture of the beauty blender it leaves sponge marks on my face in my foundations. The eco tools and real techniques are smoother. My brushes are from makeup geek I use them cause they were expensive and I’m not going to buy new ones but they are not worth the money. Thanks for the review!
I have SUCH bad luck with sponges. Everytime I try to use one for cream blush or highlighter I end up picking up my foundation. Anybody know what I'm doing wrong? I usually run it under the tap till it gets big so maybe it's too wet? I always see people just spraying setting spray on theirs but mine doesn't pouf up when I do that. Maybe I'm defective 😂
Hi! Yes, I've found you want a damp sponge ie. wet it and then squeeze the water out, and this has gives a much smoother finish. There more water the more your products will move around on the skin. Hope that helps!
“... fingers. Those are free.” ❤️ it, kackie 🤣
I’m LOVING all these Kackie videos. ☺️

Super helpful! But like, LIVING for that fiery eye look with the sleek pulled back hair and black turtleneck. Dang.
Beautiful eye look, Kackie! Helpful info on the brushes. I’m 61 & really just learning about makeup tools and brushes. Very helpful!
You are the queen of blush! I love how you use different colours and formulas to build depth. You always look stunning and so sunkissed. 😍👌😊
It's gross and rainy out today, and I'm more than happy to put off my errands and watch Kackie talk about beauty tools for a half hour...
I really want those Aether cheek palettes ugh!!!!
I’ve been waiting for thissssss!!! Clicked so fast

I known this is like 8 months late but mine composts in my home composted just fine!

@@mizshellytee Thanks for that recommendation!
Oh hey! I’m here six minutes after you posted. Yay insomnia 😫 (2am Melbourne time)
Morning!!!!! So excited for brushes!!

Have you ever tried BK Beauty brushes? They are AMAZING synthetic fiber brushes! They are a little expensive but they are very good!
I would love to see you try the bdellium tools double dome blenders. I think they are more gearded to MUA’s but they are very unique.
Random home buying tip... Biodegradable makeup sponges = good. Biodegradable waterpipes (polybutylene) = bad. You're welcome 😊
Lol I'm picturing catastrophe
Thank you for this informative video!

@@3llemc Thank you for the tip! Maybe I was being a little too rough with my sponges 😅
Yay! Great info in this video. I needed this! I hope to have your skills one day💖

Your freckles lately are so cute!
I had to go and turn the video speed down because I couldn’t keep up with how quick you were talking! But I liked the video anyway ❤️😂
Meee too!! Thanks for the suggestion🤣
Very informative-thanks!
Thanks for the video!! Wanted to know what’s your opinion on some of the westman atelier brushes?
Thank you. I have been waiting on this one. I love your content.

Loved this video of tools. So helpful💕

Brushes being "for" things goes against my way of being

With my sponge, I like the bounce and roll technique. I love the eco tools green sponge, I wish they made one with a proper pointed tip.
pls do an updated brush video!! i don't think the eco tools tapered powder brush is available anymore :(
I don’t like the sponge texture of the beauty blender it leaves sponge marks on my face in my foundations. The eco tools and real techniques are smoother. My brushes are from makeup geek I use them cause they were expensive and I’m not going to buy new ones but they are not worth the money.

Yes! Brushes brushes brushes
"work those abs" lololo
Beauty bay also has some really amazing and very affordable sponges

We all have THAT MAC brush since we were 18 😂
(is MAC Brush Georg, who bought her first one at age 30, and so is a statistical outlier who shouldn't be counted.)
YES!!
Yay!!
muddy teddy bear.
😂
Aren't some of the best beauty blenders ones that don't suck up all your product
💚🖌️💚
dude the blendiful grossed me the f out
