Honestly, I'm taking notes about capsule hotels because I want to build small cozy resting spaces like this in my own home. One doesn't need a huge bedroom to sleep well, but a comfy bed, clean and fluffly sheets and pillow, good ventilation and enough storage space for clothes and bed coverings. The only spaces I want to be/feel "wide" in my home are places people will constantly be walking about while doing tasks or entertaining themselves/talking to each other, such as the kitchen and the garden. Even the living can be just a small very cozy corner annexed to the kitchen, since most people end up just sitting down. It doesn't need to be huge.

So true, imagine a place to stay in a large city with great amenities for only 900 to 1500 per month. I'm older now and have a home, but something like this would have been perfect when I lived in Chicago in my early 20s. Book it for 6 months straight if you like it, if not keep looking until you find the one that suits you. Something like this could solve housing affordability issue in the US provided people respected the property and each other

It feels like a weird mix of youth hostel, some sort of asylum ( especially with the wristbands and clothing), the stereotype of a lonely gas station at night but still cozy little caves for you to relax and some great amenities. There’s nothing even close to that here in Germany. That’s a more luxury one, but the last one I’ve seen was perfectly fitting my description. A little more run down with less glamour but still good to use. And they got alcohol after 5 PM, didn’t see that here. Looking forward to more amazing videos. 😊👍🏼

Wow! The silence is palpable. You have to be so quiet in such a crowded space! Does that bug you? I guess you're used to it. What if someone snores?
Where would you do yoga, if you wanted to do yoga?
Do you have to pay for lockers? Are there toilets on the floor with the capsule where you're staying? How far from your capsule is the toilet? Do you have to pay for showers? Are there separate spaces for men and women?
Would the smaller capsule have a less comfortable mattress?
What if someone wanted to come into the lounge space where the recliners are and take a nap in the afternoon without spending the night in the hotel? Would that work?

I know Japan is so small they have had to be innovative with space but for most people elsewhere this would be clostraphobic!!

I would only use this to take a break between trips if I was traveling by train then for sure why not just crawl Into a capsule and sleep for a few hours and stretch out your legs.
But nothing beats a real hotel for long trips.
