That is a very clean picture that this has even at night, my Facilities Coordinator and I ( I do IT) for our Company have been trying to convince the higher ups to put in a few better cameras due to some of the issues that have been showing up at our location, I'll have to show him this video!
Nice video. One small thing, as you mentioned your street is somewhat lit at night. A short shot without any IR at night for comparision would've been great.
Is it possible to coil up the pigtail connector on the inside of the mount? I’m not a fan of having that on there. Everything just looks so much cleaner with a direct connection, or that tail hidden lol
It's not just cleaner, it is how it should have been in the first place. It would be crazy if Ubiquiti would force its customers to drill oversized holes in their homes, just to pull an badly designed and oversized connector through it. It makes me angry that they didn't come up with a proper design.
I was waiting for a turret to maybe update away from Hikvision but the prices in UK are crazy, Just not sure this is a upgrade to my ColorVu Turrets i have. i've got all the same features but cost is or new Ai is so high.
Wish I had grabbed one during their Black Friday sale! 😭 Totally agree with you regarding the audio (a feature I need). Audio for the AI Pro, G4 Dome & others is abysmal. I will likely buy this to replace a G4 Pro in 2025 unless Ubiquiti releases a PTZ Pro (hope so).
They’re not gonna ditch it, it’s standard across the industry, about time they added pigtail connectors. Much better as protected inside envelope of house so no issues with water intrusion
Please test if the connector can be hidden in the housing, so that customers don't have to drill oversized holes in their houses. Multiple people have this same question.
This camera makes a better option than the AI Bullet really. It has identical optics to the AI Bullet, minus the optical zoom, but has the added bonus of having the functionality of the Enhancer built into it. If you don't need the optical zoom, this is defnitely a great option and has the turret form factor that seems to fit in so many locations
Storage / cost / requirments and so on. A CCTV Camrea does not need to be 60fps, some Unifi cams can do better FPS but the quality has to drop. Until the CCTV market demands it it won't happen. It will need a lot more storage for 40K 60FPS which also adds a cost to the NVR behind the camera. Phones are a much different market so just not something that is in high demand for camera systems.
The processing is done on camera I believe. Which is why they have the AI port option for third party cameras. They essentially don’t have a NVR only a storage device.
Shorts in the snow like a true Canadian 😂
That's some impressive performance for the colour night vision. Thanks for sharing Cody!
Let's goooo, I was waiting for your video on this.

4:35 just because there's multiple files, doesn't mean it's not continuous btw. Great video :)
Love your videos. The music on this one was distracting, however.
Ya I typically don’t put much music behind didn’t realize it was to loud
Background music is so annoying. No one... Not a single person opens a camera review to listen to music
Which mount works with the AI Turret other than the dual camera mount? I don't see anything listed for it yet...

Thanks, Cody! Nice Cam but a bit pricey for only 8 MP.

What's unique about this camera is the two way audio. How did it sound if you speak to a person on the driveway?
The sound was great better than most of the lineup
Is there a review for the wifi E7 AP?
How would you compare this to the AI Pro ?? I have both but the main difference is the ability for the AI Pro to zoom better

Can you do a comparison video to the Alibi Security 5MP 180° Wide Angle Camera? 😅
Probably wont happen as I dont use those cameras
Hardware looks pretty similar to some Reolink options, down to SD card hatch.
Wish they’d ditch the pigtail though.

When does it come in black?
in EU it's sold out in white but available in black... darn...

Can't wait to get a couple of these for my house. Then again, I haven't had time to mount my AI pro's yet... Maybe this Christmas break.
😂 ya these are nice cameras
Is it all night color or just on events?
Nice, thanks.
I want an AI turret for home security… oh wait, it’s just a camera? Nvm 😂
I can’t believe I can’t find, anyone in my area to run cat 6 cabling !
Now we're talking.
Already the name is a no go for me. :-)
I think the music background is a little to high, competing with your voice and intelligible. Maybe -3 to -6 dB less on the timeline.
@@damonstuff880 appreciate the feedback
Agree, terrible. There is zero need for music in the back.
@marioh5172 for some reason through my speakers it sounds quiet but ya definitely will be fixed for future videos
Why is every mobile phone cabable of 4K60 and the CCTV market has nothing to offer…?

Weird "Face" is not an option for me.
Great product. Fascinating how it’s legal (?) to film neighbours in Canada. That would not fly in Europe.
All depends where you live. It’s “public” space so it’s legal
The background music on this video sadly makes it unwatchable.
Ya a few have said that. Will make sure in future it is not :)
I don't get why these cameras are so expensive. It's the software that gives it AI features not the hardware.
And they don’t charge for software so it’s built into the price of the hardware.
Unless you want them to do a subscription model?
