- First KIMB mashup! The Skull Beneath the Skin with the Rust in Peace guitar tone. I extracted the drums and vocals from a live show in 1990, hence the faster tempo. Guitar and bass played by me. Very happy with this project.

it seems like peace sells and sfsgsw are the best when crossed over. This one just sounds like a simplified skull beneath the skin. Btw I like your Chris Poland solo impressions.

Thank you man! My advice on getting this tone would be to scoop the mids slightly. You want that mid focused snarl that this tone has. But you don’t want to raise the gain too much and have it muddy.
There’s obviously a lot more that goes into it but that’s just the brief

Especially the peace sells one I heard you used BIAS Mobile and I would really appreciate it if you could show me man… I’m planning on doing a cover of The Conjuring but just can’t seem to get the tone right and i think a video would help 😞

My two cents: Honestly as much as I love Megadeth, KIMB was always a little hard to get into. It just a little too raw and rough, with Peace Sells hitting that sweet spot for me. But here, you upgrade the sound, enhancing the power instead of sacrificing it (an effect buttressed by the live drums and vocals, which go together with your mix like chocolate and peanut butter). It just feels punchy and cohesive and every instrument is nice and audible. Some of your best work so far! \m/
