WOW. I just started student teaching monday. I was completely loss but I'm so glad I found your videos. I needed someone to just simplify that big handbook. Literally took notes on everything you said and finished task 1 part a in like an hour!

Did you integrate science in all three of your lessons? Or just needed to implement it for one?

I do my student teaching and EDTPA in August 2022 What should I be doing now? I have my binder, my colored tabs and a copy of making good choice and a print out of assessment handbook version 07.1 My advisor is retiring in July of 2022 I have no idea what I should be doing.

I think you’re on the right track!! Once you know your kids and your mentor teacher for august, you will start to be able to come up with a lesson plan to start everything off :)

@@kinsey2468 Where did you get your lesson plan rubric template? The one you were showing on the video that you cut and paste from I need one so I can put some ideas in even if I have to change them in August. My Dean has retired and my advisor is retiring the end of this month so I'm in a bind for resources and support.

Do you have a video that describes how to video the lessons?

I don’t have anything specific about that. Are you wondering what to use to film or what kind of content to film?

Start with permission slips out to your student families. You will need to know who is allowed to be in the videos and who will need an alternative activity while you teach your lesson.
From there, let your cooperating teacher and your students know what you need and maybe even do some practice lessons so the kids are used to the camera. A tripod and a phone will work perfectly.
I did have it easier because I submitted my videos with a virtual zoom lesson, so filming was as easy as pushing a button. In person will require more work. But no fancy equipment, angles or editing should be needed!
