I kept my drift button as the X (Xbox controller) and all you have to do to drift boost in the air is hold the X and then do whatever else you need to do
Hi, this video isn't the greatest example of it because I've done it a lot better in my later runs. However air dodging randomly boosts/maintains speed. There is this thing called "phantom speed" that you get when you dodge like this. It's a slight increase in speed that doesn't show up on the speedometer (for the example you've pointed out). However, you can get MAJOR boosts of speed if you abuse this mechanic in the right circumstances. A great example of that is in my 2:52 run of mine mayhem I posted recently. At about 0:30 I that video there's this cool flippy thing that I do, it makes your car go the other direction waaaay faster and gives you a lot of phantom speed. If this doesn't make sense I can try another way of explaining it but I hope this helped!
@@Yimbyx It does make sense! Thank you! I've been trying to understand the Air dodging mechanic many people do but no one really explained it, thank you! I appreciate it. I have a good reason to practice it from now on
@@Yimbyx could you explain in which parts of the track should I use this please? I tried using it while racing, but It took me longer than it would if I weren't using it.
@@darkfire8547 I'm not sure if I could give you every example of when to use it. The main area of use is when you have to air drift for a while after using a boost. One you've uaed the second part of your boost you wait a bit then flip. It gives you alot of momentum
Great run! I'll be studying this route for sure!
TY, New route will drop soon haha
1:00 thats where that cut is! Spunsz or someone used it on me yesterday and j was so confused cause i had no idea, now i know!
How do you keep your drift boost in the air? What is your powerslide / drift button? Awesome video mate

@@Yimbyx oh sweet, thanks for the tip man!
What's the benefit of air dodging? For example in 0:27, what does it do?
