Thanks for the video, Kevin. My team has been using Planner via Teams since 2020. We track our projects by year. The problem we've run into is that some of our projects (cards) have more than one asset to it. Rather than creating a separate task/card for each asset (some can be as many as 96 different social media graphics for one project), we've been using a Label called "Multiple Assets" and add the number of total assets a particular card has in its name. For example: Project A - 5 would show that this project has 5 assets to it that we want to count at the end of the year. So, when we go to the Charts tab, it will show the number of projects in that channel/tab, however it won't add up the individual assets for a card into the total number. So, if my team has completed 10 projects, the Chart tab will show that. But, if two of the cards have multiple assets (such as Project A - 5 and Project B - 5), the Chart tab won't show that we've actually completed 19 projects. I have to manually count the total number of assets for that year. Does that make sense? Is there a way to count all assets without making a separate task for each item?

@@abhijeetindap81 ClickUp can do that. I’d recommend watching a few video tutorials. It’s also easy to find answers in their knowledge base or using Google. According to ClickUp: “You'll receive a notification when a task dependency is added, unlinked, or when a task becomes unblocked. If you have the Dependency Warning ClickApp enabled, ClickUp will display an incomplete warning if you attempt to close a task that is waiting on another task.”

Great video Kevin! Planner is a great tool, and I enjoy working with it. Would love the ability to see who completed subtasks when multiple people are assigned to a single task (something like the person's profile with time/date stamp). Would love the ability to use the @ symbol to message someone specifically when multiple people are assigned to a task. This would eliminate other team members from being emailed on correspondence about the task that do not directly require their attention. They can always review the dialog from the task board but not be bothered with emails. Hope Microsoft will consider this. Looking forward to more useful features within Planner. Thanks!

So helpful! I have been trying to find something like this. I agree with other commenters, that I would like to see a way to link tasks also, for instance if Jon Doe needs to do X before Jane Doe can do Y successfully, there should be some sort of a "nested" task, wherein Jon Doe's "X" is the main task and Jane's "Y" is the nested task, so that once Jon marks his task as complete, Jane's shows up as needing to be completed.

Hey Kevin, very interesting video, thanks a lot! Very usefull! I have an additional/personal question to this on the use of Planner in an Architecture firm which I'm in. I'm searching for a way to organize it better. So the main thing is that each time we have a new project coming up, it goes through 18 phases from the beginning till the end. And each phase has subtasks. Now I tried to organize it like: a new project = a new bucket. In each bucket you have 18 tasks (phases of the project). Each task has subtasks to complete. That's one way. I just watched your video here and came up with the idea of: Set up 18 buckets with the different phase each project goes through and then assign new projects as a new task and by completing subtasks en when time passes, move that task to the next bucket, ... I am trying to figure out which one of these methods would be more efficient to use and the best one. Do you have any advice on this? Hope to receive your reply, thank you in advance!! Kind regards, Kenny

I really enjoyed this video - the Planner is does have some great features - very much a Kanban style of management. My only frustration at the moment is Outlook integration - with my task list. I'm trying to figure out if that currently can be done.
Strangely, it does send me an e-mail telling me I have an outstanding task due, but then I have to turn that into an actual Outlook Task.
