    Michael..Here's the thing. This kit does not damage the valve body itself in any way. It does however require grinding or cutting open the solenoids. The guys that sell the high dollar valve bodies refer to that as damage and say the core is ruined.. From my point of view those high dollar VB's are insanity! They do use high quality Sonnax parts in them but with this kit installed you are essentially doing the same mods at a 1/16 the cost.. If the kit is done correctly it will give you years of perfect service.. The biggest thing is to take your time pay attention to every step and be diligent. The biggest mistake I see guys make is not clearing adaption tables after installing the kit, drilling the wrong holes in the seperator plate and under/over filling the tranny on re-assembly. If you have already replaced the solenoids that would be one major part of the kit you won't have to do. Good luck I hope you get it figured out.

    How was the shift firmness after you did this? Is it like a typical shift kit in that it firms up the shift feel, or is it more like a "fix it" kit that restores the factory shifting feel.

    Do I need a ross tech ? To reset adaptive?? Or can i do it without, I've also seen accumulator piston kits ... does this kit have that in it as well ?

    ok so I ran the car for about a week and it got worse to the point that I'm scare to drive it lol. so Def think is something to do with the valve body since car was running ok before I took the valve body apart and changed the fluid .so I order a valve body hope that will fix the problem , I did change the fluid got it from the dealer cost me $153..... now my question to you is , have you ever tried a different transmission fluid other than the dealer OEM ?
    I want to see if I can flush it out with something cheaper the would meet the specs with the original fluid . ...... car info 2005 vw jetta 2.5 6 speed tiptronic. thanks

    Hello Today I made update to my Audi Q7 now my 3rd and 5th gear goes with big hit. I can not find procedure to reset adaptation. When I connect to controller Adaptation(10) is not active. I found SSP 367 for this gear with info that I can do reset by Basic settings(4) but still I can not find any solution. I have VCDS interface- maybe some one can help with some manual how reset adaptation values for Audi Q7 ?

    to your knowledge do you need the durometric software or pwis to clear for learning the new routines? Do any of the aftermarket scanners allow for this?

    • @oldskoolgearhead460
      @oldskoolgearhead460  2 роки тому

      Yes you do need to clear for relearning.. No I really don't know of any other scanner that will do it ..try to find someone local with the device. Someone mentioned before the local European shop charged him 175 bucks.

    Hello,
    thank you for your video. I contact you because I have a problem with my gearbox. I just install a transgo kit today and now I have Sudden jolts between the speed number 2 to 3 and 5 to 4. I have no idea. Maybe you know what were my mistake. Thanks a lot

      The first question I always ask .Did you clear the adaptation tables and do the relearn procedure? This must be done or it will never work correctly.

    Great video, however it's leaving me searching everywhere for reassembly bolt torque specs.

    OSG, do you have the part number for the torque bolts that retain the valve body to the transmission itself?

    Try the instructions at the end of my video. They go fast you may have to pause it.

      Hello Today I try to make it couple times but it didnt help. It looks like my N90 is somehow broken when I look in instruction N90 is working with K3 / 3rd 5th and reverse. Maybe you have information can I swap this valve with some next for example N91?

      Mohamed usama... yes you are having a typical valve body issue

    • @vipusama
      @vipusama 7 років тому

      OLD SKOOL GEARHEAD thx alot for reply really appreciate
      If i change solenoid valve my issue will be solved or i have to buy complete valve body

    • @oldskoolgearhead460
      @oldskoolgearhead460  7 років тому +1

      You can test the readings on the solenoids...if they pass it will more than likely be a valve hanging up in the body.

    • @vipusama
      @vipusama 7 років тому

      OLD SKOOL GEARHEAD so in this case i have to do same what you did , i download service manual for 09D TR60SN i find valve number 92 if there is issue will effect gear 3,5 so I ordered one new solenoid once i receive i will start do the same

    I just did the sk09d treatment to my 04 cayenne turbo and while test driving it seemed to slightly shudder while accelerating. The next time I drove it, it got stuck in 5th gear. I restarted and it got stuck in 3rd gear. When it does shift it seems to lag behind what the dash display says it is doing. By the way, I bought a used valve body and put the kit in it instead of the original valve body. Could this be the problem? Thanks in advance for your advise or thoughts.

    • @oldskoolgearhead460
      @oldskoolgearhead460  7 років тому

      Could be ..but my first question is always-Did you clear the adaptation tables?

    • @trinitysguy1
      @trinitysguy1 7 років тому

      No, but I will try that this morning. Thanks for the quick response.

    • @trinitysguy1
      @trinitysguy1 7 років тому

      I cleared them and it still shudders but didn't get hung in any gear. The transmission still seemed to lag behind what the dash indicator says. I am putting a kit in the original valve body but I got to the second valve and discovered they had put two of the third valves in the kit. I'm waiting for the replacement. Ugh!

    • @oldskoolgearhead460
      @oldskoolgearhead460  7 років тому

      Right on ..my next question was going to be "did you have those issues with the old VB" I know it sucks when you get something ripped down then have missing parts on re assembly ..been there .. So many guys forget or skip the clearing of the adaptation tables and it is a must do item.

    • @maryreyes73
      @maryreyes73 6 років тому

      Never Never change the valve body, they don't go bad that often, use your same valve body and parts also clear the adaptation tables

      is that the same torque for the 09G where can I find these torque specs ?

    • @oldskoolgearhead460
      @oldskoolgearhead460  7 років тому

      Gabriel Boni
      No 09G is different ..here are some you will need -parking guide 10ft lbs- valve body to case 80in lbs-valve body+on off solenoid 10mm 80in lbs-valve body+linear solenoids 8mm 62in lbs-oil pan to case 62in lbs ,,,I would download the ATSG service manual just in case you misplace something.
