Retes stack, for those that are curious, because I was when I first heard it mentioned. They’re generally made with 1/4” plywood sheets stacked with 1x2’s. You want to alternate the height on each side so the Ackie can wedge in and feel secure.
If i get an uva+uvb bulb it is ok? I know it is more expensive but i think it would be good. I have dubia and blatta colony for the other reptiles. And for substrate i will put a mix of coconot musk and some tropical dirt to keep humidity up.
Looking at the various colors and morphs of ball pythons and bearded dragons, do you think we’ll ever get that point as far as Morphs/variety of colors with Ackie monitors? Keep up the good videos!

Would a deep heat projecter 80wtt get the surface hot enough ? Also would a 36” T5 UVB LED hood be good for a 48” enclosure or is the hood to long for the 4 foot long enclosure?

I believe a lot of uvb bulbs also produce uva. Dont think thats an issue. Just watch for any stringy substrates!
