    Question here, why bake them if you are cutting them?

    • @warnerbu7lt
      @warnerbu7lt  3 роки тому +1

      It softened the glue a little bit and made it easier to cut through. Also the heat made it easier to pull apart once it was ready.

  • @regioherrera442
    @regioherrera442 3 роки тому +2

    Do you need to cut them? Or will they separate by baking them and picking at it ?

    • @warnerbu7lt
      @warnerbu7lt  3 роки тому

      There are many different methods to separating the taillight lens from the housing. I found heating them slightly and then cutting them to be the most effective way for me personally.

    • @warnerbu7lt
      @warnerbu7lt  2 роки тому

      Thanks Tanner, the paint that I used was actually a textured trunk/toolbox paint which has built-in adhesion promoter and doesn’t require primer before hand.
      If I was using regular or automotive paint and looking for a smooth glass like finish, I would strongly suggest scuffing the surface with scotch pads, using some sort of adhesion promoter and priming prior to applying your top coat.
