Ditto on the previous comments; you're a born teacher and we're lucky to have you. Between your video and PDF there's no excuse not to pick up on your lessons, so the ball is all in our court to develop that ♫Rafferty♪Groove♫!
Thanks Adam, loving the jazzy sound these chords bring to the blues, found some cool backing tracks to play around over too, loads of fun! much appreciated! :)
These are really tasty chords... (while one's fed up of those words here on UA-cam). You built a fine progression with chords that I can taste, appreciate and enjoy, indeed. Great job and thanks for sharing... for free.
Great lesson….there are so many combinations of chords to make the jazz blues so interesting. I think using these 4 string chords are better suited to playing with others….especially a bass player. As a solo player I tend to use the chords using the A and E strings to get a fuller tone. How about a further lesson expanding this one….to using even more passing chords etc changing several times in each bar?
Yes, you are spot on. However, if there is enough movement in your playing you can play several of these in a solo setting, and the sound of the harmomny will come through - and you can "punctuate". with certain chords with a root bass note.
Thanks Adam, you are the man and a great teacher also. I loved this lesson because the chords work so well together even though the rootless voicings may seem mysterious to some. I have been playing guitar for many years now (don't ask!) and have a reasonable knowledge of music theory so the chords themselves were no surprise but the smooth flow was oh so good. I get so much pleasure just playing these chords so all credit to your free lessons. I would be happy to make a donation to your upkeep if you tell me what to do. Cheers Dave.

Very nice Adam! As usual! Thanks! I am on vacation and have no guitar with me (unfortunately) but I started missing your videos :-) I really have to consider buying a travel guitar. Someone suggested an Enya Nexg. It is a carbon guitar (more robust for travel), has an onboard amplifier with some effects, and can be reduced in size. I would appreciate any suggestions, any alternatives.
Steve - it should work! Please send me a private email and I can take a look at what happener OR - especially if you have gmail, this can end up in promotions / junk spam since my software sends it to you. We'll get it sorted out - contact me!
