Michael Carrick's Career
safe to say that we’d kill for him in his prime atm. so where do you think he ranks in united’s all time midfielders?
do you think he’s underrated or given his just dues? is he one of the best passers the premier league has seen?
drop a like on the vid and tell me, cheers
Most underrated midfielder in the world
Micheal carrick
Seriously underrated. He may not have the most assists, let alone goals, but his exceptional passing range and vision opens up many opportunities for the attackers. I like how his passes leads to the easy assist.
He would totally create so much for the speedy frontmen of United's squad today.
The closest to Paul Scholes! I personally think he was United player of the season last time we won the Premier League.
He’s defo I’m my top 5 favourite players ever
Underrated at club level, underutilized at international level. Consistent and able to impact a game with one pass. Pirlo and Xabi Alonso get more praise as deep lying play makers but Carrick is of that ilk.
underused by england. one of the most underrated players of his generation.
Because England never like Pirlo, especially Joe Hart =))) Carrick couldn't play for England anymore
Someone’s watched rios interview
True
A 4-4-2 midfield with Scholes and Carrick wasn't even the most physical, they just had absolute vision. 20 Vision and 20 Technique on everything
20 vision, 20 technique, 20 passing, -20 tackling :D
When they had Park Ji Sung, it was a 4-3-3
Carrick was a master at positioning/interceptions, really was a perfect compliment to Scholes in that regard. He didn’t have to tackle like Keano because he was almost always in the right position
Carrick 20 anticipation 20 positioning 20 decisions
Average.
The only player can make us not missing Scholes...
With Van Persie he is the main reason we won Premier League in 2013.....
Rooney and evra too they were class
So underrated by rival fans and own fans. Was a world class player
Fabulous player, highly intelligent and creative. Majorly contributed to all the titles Utd won while he was there, his calmness and assurance were unparalleled and always performed no matter what position he played.
I definitely feel like if he played in Spain or Italy, he might have come closer to being acknowledged in the Pirlo/Busquets bracket. Not the same level, but not far away by any means
You know ball
Imagine Martial and Rashford served by Carrick...
They will be unstoppable...
Cavani
It’s already happened?
Bruno is better than Carrick.
If only Pogba will do 50% of these passing
@@zrizzle19 there not the same role or position moron
The English Pirlo: Michael Carrick
Michael Carrick was the key to playing Gerrard and Lampard together. The best cdms are the ones you hardly hear about. Low key Legend! #16
As if they won titles!
While Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie were the stars in the 12-13 title win Carrick was incredibly influential in that run literally made cleverley and Anderson looked better than they actually are. Also in United’s 16-17 season which the main stars were Zlatan,Herrera and Pogba plus that campaign is incredibly mediocre by their standard which was saved by the UEL but you can’t overlooked how influential Carrick was in the run to the final. Gave Herrera and Pogba their best run as a midfield duo. Literally made Fellaini looked so much better than he actually is. He was key in some of LVG’s best league runs towards the end of the 14-15 season and that FA Cup run
Man U seriously needs someone who can pass like this....!
Beautiful
Carrick and Xabi Alonso are in the same class. That’s it. End of discussion
Alonso little bit dominate in term of shooting, but in passing they are both equal
You're tweaking
0:47 I never forget the scene!
What a legend!!
Carrick, good as any I’ve seen
People who still argue no 6 doesn’t need to create watch the distance and position where he creates that’s rodri in the modern game , we need a traditional 6 like carrick
Probably the most underrated player
And people are comparing Mctominay to him. That’s bs trash talk lol 😂. Mc sauce can’t even make 1 forward pass lol 😂.
😂 😂 😂
Have you seen mctominay pass? He's underratedly good too
yea u should probably rent sport tv. seems like u just saw him a little.
@@habibghazali8879 still don’t compare him to Carrick
@@mukwesamwanza1511 stayoff the drugs please
N this was all only his passing game.. for a cdm to have this good of passing skills is incredible for even the best of cdms atm like kimmich kante casemiro busquets, they dont have passing skill as good as his, they can but not constistently good everytime... he really is one of the most underapriciated player of all time
There’s so much to Carrick’s game than just the passings. He has such a great awareness of his situation, can make a key interception when it mattered, made the simplest plays for his more flashy teammates and can literally make a key pass when needed
Man U have yet to found some one who can pass like this dud he’s a fucking good passer
Most underated midfielder!!
He reminds me of Michael Carrick, would be perfect for quickly turning defence into attack and setting up Garnacho, Rashy and Hojlund.
But the opening up by the united forwards is also making things easier for him. Fergie was just a genius
Talent 5⭐ Recognition 1⭐
so underrated
What's interesting here is how much the overall playing style has changed in the premier league. Opponents here are mostly maintaining formation, hardly anyone pressed. Nowadays almost every team likes to high press.
Yh back then it was more about technique and iq nowadays its just athleticism and running around like a headless chicken
it's just ironic that now we have a manager who likes a high pressing tactic.
How was SAF managing to identify these guys. United need such brain back very quickly
true..phil jones was a perfect example..
Zlatan tore his knee ligaments in that first clip 😬
Toni Kroos father .. Sergio Busquets uncle
Carrick so best💯💯
I love these comps my bro ❤️ Can you do one for AWB by any chance 👊
maybe when he’s in better form
@@ndcomps 😂
😂😂😂
@@ndcomps He is now.
I feel like if some of the forwards in this video had a better first touch/finish he would be raking in +++ assists
His pass accuracy was good but i think it was a little bit hard to control as you could see in the video
Yea some are heavy but if a player like Phil foden was the one getting the pass then none of them are heavy at all
@@ulissesmendoza8752 lol facts. Rodri, Busquets etc can punch passes in like that because their teammates have world class control. Wasn’t like that at United. Only Kagawa could really take those passes easily
He’s the man that came a bit close to how busquet played, he’s not on Sergio level but was just a bit similar
salute
What happened to us??
we great talents, didn't they go visit our academy to help group the next generation.. what fucking happened to us why are we struggling???
If this man played for Pep😱
Then
The team will be Unbeatable
Xabi Alonso did. Ended up winning 3 league titles in as many seasons
United would be able to play in a 3 with Fernandes and Pogba if they had Carrick
finally some video on Carrick
How many did Van Persie missed? He also missed against Real Madrid 2 open goals for god sake
Why do they barely score from his crosses?
His ability to move the team higher up the pitch and press-breaking passes where his most important passing traits. It's always more difficult to have assists from deep but you can always make others shine instead.
Carrick was as good at passing as paul scholes
The first pass😓 zlatan got his injury😢
Tbf, this is what United need now, a DM who could just slid in soothing passes like this effortlessly..What we have got now is Matic who is good defensively but poor in aerial ball distribution..Thiago would have been the perfect replacement, but he went to Liverpool. I can see Mctominay is more likely to be transformed into this role and has all the capabilities under guidance of Carrick as his coach....
he doesn’t. you can only develop so much at the age he is and he hasn’t shown an eye for a pass or the awareness to dictate the tempo of a game. he’ll be the same player which isnt necessarily a bad thing...
@@ndcomps Who do you see in the current scenario as capable as Carrick or somebody United should go for in the next window who is fantastic in these ball distribution? Camavinga? (I don't know much about him but have heard a lot ) I know Pogba has these abilities, but we would underuse his capabilities if we play him in a defensive role rather than offensive one..
id say with the way we play rn we need a player with physical capabilities and passing ability. dennis zakaria and declan rice would be my picks of the bunch
Fred is the new Carrick. I don’t like matic or mctominay.
@@zaky267 there isn’t a player like Carrick out dere rn
Can scotty mc become Carrick.........no no he cant. Cant teach this stuff. Its natural
The first pass injured Ibrahimovic😅
England had too many central mids that all premuch did similar things. So there were going to be sacrifices made:+( Paul Scholes was underused and undercapped too
he like busquets in barca
He made zlatan injured hahaha
England could have done with this fella in eiros
I always fan of him other than Xavi
Can someone tell me who the RVP goal was against at the 8:10 mark
West ham
Came Here from ft
Better than Busquets
If Rice is 100m …
Why on earth we haven't even tried to replace him is beyond me, United are screaming for a player who can dictate a game who is calm on the ball in midfield and play 1 touch with the ability to play balls over the top to the wonderfully talented fast attack we have. Pogba can pass but he can't dictate a game and is too undisciplined to play central midfield. I can't watch Fred anymore I think it's going to be the death of me. TWO holding mids both with 0 composure or any qualities required to run a game is ridiculous for the money we've spent. Ole needs to risk it more but clearly doesn't trust the others defensively. I've had enough of our centrebacks being better on the ball football players than our midfielders, what the fuck is that? Cause it's certainly not United of old
There is an academy player named Galbraith. He's so similar to him
Pogba will never
Neves and fred
better than Fred and Matic
Ibrahimovic leg break @ 00:16🤢🤢
Raptured ACL not a broken leg
He’s too boring cause all of his passes are tall passes he’s not like De Bruyne who is able to pass both tall and short passes.
Not a single goal from all those passings.
Welcome to Boro 🔴⚪️
