  • Russia's Deputy Chief of the General Staff was arrested today. 3 more Russian generals were arrested today. Belarus' Chief of the General Staff was fired today. Vladimir Putin flew to Belarus unexpectedly to discuss the situation with Belorussian President Lukashenko. Is an army's mutiny on the way in Russia?

@@georgemoore4504 The country is at war and its not going well in terms of its original objectives so one would think its not a good time to destabilize leadership structures and yet there is a substantial purge underway of many top military officials including one who by all accounts was tactically brilliant and garnered great loyalty from his troops.. why ? This is flagged to media as an effort to stamp out corruption but corruption is a tacitly accepted part of how Russia functions so that does not make sense anymore than destabilizing military leadership. An eminent and senior rocket scientist who works on hypersonic missile programs is suddenly arrested and imprisoned on trumped up charges, again is this a good time to lockup a weapons expert ? Its just baffling to me with a western frame of reference but clearly there are motives behind it and what Konstantin presents is the only explanation that makes sense. That does not make it any less an absurdity something Franz Kafka was a master of indeed the term Kafkaesque is framed as situations that are unpleasant, frightening, and confusing, similar to situations described in his novels. These purged and imprisoned elites that have dedicated their lives to the mother country are being rewarded with a Kafkaesque nightmare. I look forward to Konstantin decoding further Russian Kafkaesque activities .

Well, if this "Konstantin" is the fellow speaking in these videos: he did come *out* of there; so growing up *in* there, he'd know when the state's on the skids and about to go over sideways, badly at that- and the USSR really was a course in epic state mismanagement like you couldn't believe.
Even if by sheer random *chance* you had a dictator who actually *was* benevolent, he was so badly informed that almost everything he does is the wrong decision; and that's a HUGE *iff* to begin with in that kind of system.
Sir, if I did even accidentially insult you, to the video poster: I do heartily apologize, I simply didn't know precisely who Kinstantin *is* from Adam as far as another man. I mean nobody any offense here.
And the reference to Soviet mismanagement is actually a criticism of their system and how it lied so completely to the leader that even if he had by sheer random chance had good intents: he was so ill-informed that he universally chose the worst decision- it really was the *worst* kind of isolation of the decision-maker from the necessary data and imposing his worst decisions... I really do think that most of the nation's survival was due to the men in the country disobeying him and doing the smart things of thinking on their feet- and then relying on the "ends justify the means" Marxist teaching.
Otherwise you'd have so much remarkably dumb deicisons that that state would never have stood at all.

About 5 years before Russia invaded Ukraine I was working with 2 Russian engineers, I don't know if they were citizens' of the USA or just had work visas or green cards (permanent foreign residents). But both of these Russian engineers (at different times in the project) told me that Ukraine should be part of Russia. I was shocked. But to one of the Russian's my response was, "My neighbors are Ukrainian, and I don't think they agree with you". That Russian just said, "of course", then turned around to his desk.
So my question is: How long has Putin been selling the line to the Russian people that Ukraine is part of Russia?

      @DavidAllison-qs8wn 27 днів тому

Breathing might also be considered 'readying' in Putin's mind. It's paranoia. Putin is always afraid, of the west, of NATO, of the ICC, of Prighozin, of the oligarchs, of his own military. He was a small, scared kid in a dumpy Soviet apartment in St. Petersburg. I think he is still like that, which explains why he finds it necessary to overcompensate by posing shirtless on horseback, with a tiger, in Judo, posing with a sniper rifle or a tank. It's quite pathetic but that's who he is. But hey, if he wipes out the competent leadership in the army and replaces them with nervous yes-men who fear for their lives ... great, that will destroy his own military. If there is an eventual coup, I wouldn't expect any military unit to rush to protect Putin.

I very much appreciate and agree with your analysis. Let me add the following suspicion:
    1) cut-off of main electricity line to UA's biggest nuclear power plant is no coincidence
    2) repeated threats to London and Paris are no coincidence at this point (after allowing use of UK and FR ammunition on soil of Russia proper)
    3) current nuclear arms "show" close to the UA border is no coincidence
    4) "talk" about border issues with Finland are no coincidence right now
    5) Chinese manoeuvers around Taiwan a few days after Putin's visit to China come in handy right now to create unrest in the Pentagon and elsewhere
All this comes as the Ruzzian military cannot present any significant nor substantial results. More Western weapons are on the way to UA.
On the contrary, RU is being hit hard: ships in the Black sea, losses of expensive aircrafts, constant hits on oil refineries, constant attacks in Crimea etc. All the a/m points are happening NOW in order to distract.

The war has been in a stalemate in recent months, in which the Russians have been able to gain a few territory.
These were not good gains because they also cost the lives of many Russian soldiers.
The war that was supposed to last six days has now lasted well over two years and, combined with the sanctions, is taking an insane toll!
Russia is suffering! After two years of war, NATO has once again cleared out its warehouses and sent some weapons to Ukraine. Contrary to expectations, NATO's solidarity with Ukraine is still there. Now the important ally Iran is also in a critical situation. In addition, Raisi is dead and a successor must first be found.
What happens next with Iranian support remains to be seen. The Chinese do their own thing, they are not interested in Ukraine. They want Taiwan. North Korea still leaves, but that's not a cow that can be milked forever.
In the current situation, one could get the impression that the Kremlin knows that the war cannot be held out for much longer. This impression has perhaps already established itself as an undeniable truth in the military. And maybe Putin is aware of this too!
Let's assume that he knows that the war can no longer be won. How can he save his skin?
As a manipulative KGB officer, Putin tries to stay two steps ahead of everyone. So he must protect himself from dangers to his own life and his position in his own country. With this thought, it is logical that he is trying to weaken the military. The KGB must be stronger than the military. Then he can shift all the blame for the failure onto the military.
Since Prigozhin he also knows that his people immediately support whoever is leading the uprising. A person like that shouldn't be there anymore! Putin himself must continue to be the person who leads the people.
I'm starting to think we're seeing the beginning of the end. And Putin initiated it himself.

The existential paradox of any tyrant: you can't have your military leaders have too much success and become more popular than you. And so you sacrifice victory on the battlefield to be top dog. Prigozh was a fine example. So the generals who survive must learn to not be so successful on the front.

Before the "elections" there was quite a lot of chatter about a new wave of mobilisation but if such changes and arrests keep continuing, and individuals are appointed to new positions, where they might not be wanted or greeted kindly. How would a future mobilization be affected by such changes, or has the roughly a thousand volunteers per day increased significantly for them to not worry about getting more people to the army by calling up reserves?
Thank you for the streams, I hope something goes pop in Russia sooner rather than later and they are forced to end to this madness, unfortunately, I have feeling this will drag out for quite some time.
