Blackadder crew said that the final scene was filmed in the dark and they've all said it was the most frightening thing they've ever done, when the directors said right lads let's do another take they all went to Rowan Atkinson to say no so him being the nominated spokesperson got on the mic and said "not a chance, we're not doing that again". Beautiful scene, well shot and well handled on such a sombre topic

Fun fact about the Gareth Gates, and Will Young both having solid careers. It was because of this, that the competitions started having insane exclusivity clauses in the contestant application form. You have to sign an agreement that even if you don't win, you are signed to their record label on an exclusive basis for something like 5 years. Which is long enough for any residual 15 minutes of fame from the show to prop up a career.

OK, I'll bite... 2003 isn't the only time UK scored 0 in Eurovision.. 2021 called, they want their double 0 back and I'm surprised you missed that when researching... But then go on to reference it during the Sam Ryder section..

Used to watch skins way back when I was in school and even tho they hired real teen cast and showed some stuff. That was unfortunately the reality of teens and still is today, it was close to realistic even tho yes they could’ve hired actual adults. Same with shameless, they’re basically both about real things that happen in the UK.

Well you managed to skip countless more divisive events: Ghost Watch, the Brass Eye Special (or any episode of Brass Eye), The BBC News nude broadcast interruption, any number of @OfficialDerrenBrown's tricks (which also includes Sherlock) et cetera et cetera.

Pop Idol wasn't really that shocking was it? I mean, both were solid talents, and they had massive careers post, so....
And yeah, Sam Ryder did well, and I really thought that this may be the start for change for the UK in Eurovision, and then along came 2023....

13:44 - Pop Idol - ‘one of the earliest National talent shows….’ ! Are you having a laugh ?!
New Faces started on television in 1973 and Opportunity Knocks started on BBC radio in 1949 initially, moving to television on 20 June 1956.
Get your facts straight, and these Millennials might actually learn something useful to tell their grandchildren !
