Few pointers to anyone doing this on a slightly different corolla (eg ZRE182) - assembly looks very similar but there are some differences to be careful with: There are far more internal clips on the mirror cover piece on those cars - going slow with a plastic tool is going to give you a much cleaner finish than going fast with a metal screwdriver! You'd be well advised to unscrew the mirror motor to get access to the clips of the indicator assembly (behind the mirror) rather than attempting to just lever it out with the key. It will not "pop out" as easily as the one shown in this video, and you're likely to break plastic if you force it. 3 Phillips Head screws, and then something to lever the plastic retaining clips on the assembly (the PH screwdriver will work at a pinch, something smaller would be better). There's also a retaining clip on the power input connection to the light which it's worth being careful with. YMMV/hope it helps.
I just changed my 2016 Toyota Avalon signal lamp following this instruction. So easy to do it. Just be gentle when removing it. Plastic tabs can break easily.
I want to see if I can remove the one on my (US) '17 Corolla XSE... there are other videos that said you can't remove the bulb and its the bulb housing you need to replace completely. Thanks for the video!
Thank you very much for the information! Really appreciate it. I'm planning to install LED bulbs on the side mirror of my Toyota Yaris. I just don't know if I'm going to need a load resistor to prevent hyperflashing. Do you have any idea?
Not for side bulbs as the wattage will be the same and the brightness higher. It will look kind of odd combined with the rest of the stock indicators as they will light up slightly quicker. You can fit LED indicators to the back or the front without load resistors too but not both sadly.
On my 2016 Corolla sport (Us version), once I get the casing off the inside of the mirror looks diffrent and I can’t seem to figure out how to remove the light casing, and ideas?
M_k any way you can provide me with a part number to those ? ( the small housing that Holds the bulb in) or what year and model is this car ? Thanks in advance 🙂
+mohammed mohsin If you need to remove complete mirror - ua-cam.com/video/96VlhKIqqi0/v-deo.html Or only glass part - ua-cam.com/video/oqweL8C0kqU/v-deo.html
LoL why the hell you doing it on bare foot? Second thing, your key is way different. My Auris same model has only form keychain and in The Netherlands they only sell keyless versions inside interrior. Also mirror i wanted change those on LED, but there is already LED, i dont have only front lights as LED :O

Hi mate, I have never done one on a ZRE182 but Normally I would pop the mirror out then try to pushing the clip out from inside.
Fastest, no nonsense, to the point tutorial I have ever seen. Thanks man.
WTF.....I was thinking to call a nuclear engineer to change the light....well done mate. Keep up the good work. Cheers from Australia.
Well presented. I can watch it without the sound ( in bed at 3 am), if I am deaf, or if I don't speak the same language.
Awesome.

Very useful. However, I need to change the left mirror indicator lamp on my 2010 Toyota Prius. I am wondering, if this method would work the same way?

I was wondering if this has the same format as a vios g(third gen) side mirror indicators. They kinda look the same and i broke mine.
My way doesn't damage mirror, so you can try using it and tell does it work with Vios. We dont have Vios in Poland, so I cant try do it in person.
Thanks..
Would that side mirror signal housing fit 2016 Toyota Corolla (USA version)?
I don't have USA version. But you could check it ;)
