Probably some EU regulation will ban big tablets like this in cars or require car manufacturers to have physical buttons for temperature, volume, vent speed and such. I cannot imagine buying a 10 year old passat in 2034, its gonna be a nightmare to maintain the electronics
@@rikard4511 damn right ! bearing in mind that the electronics are made in China and knowing that the goal is to be as cheap as possible so that car manufacturers can have maximum profit, it is not difficult to guess what problems there will be after 10 years of use! But these cars are made to be driven for 6-7 years and then to be sold in some poor country. That's why the engines already run about 150,000 kilometers, after which the problems start! this is called "programmed death"!

As an owner of a white B8 R-line I must say that I'm a bit disappointed about the design. Some parts alone are very nice but all together is just meh. Side skirts look like from another car and too short. They removed the rear camera from the rotating VW logo which prevented the camera to get dirty or wet or frozen in the winter. That's a big shame. It's so handy to have a clean view when backing up in snowy or wet conditions especially at night. And nobody needs an Imax screen on the dash. You can't see over the damn thing. Nice video BTW!
Damn. It's hard to believe my 2004 Passat GL Wagon with its AWM 1.8T motor and 5-Speed manual is already 20 years old. Still not a drip of oil burnt or past the piston rings between changes. 230k. Even runs quieter than my mothers 2014 Fiesta. 😁
Next to old Passats (B7; B8) looks cheap, like Golf or Polo. Passat was the classy entrepreneur car, an executive look car that has a presence. All that while being able to carry alot while working and your family on weekends. Now this is just another cheap French-korean car that looks plasticky trendy. I would choose Ioniq over this any day, while I'd choose the 2023 Passat B8 before the Ioniq.
I hate these modern interiors where everything is a screen. I want moving parts, something to push, turn or move in general. Everything is so sterile and lifeless.

E você demonstra desconhecer o nosso mercado ao dizer que perua não pegou no Brasil. As peruas sempre venderam bem aqui; o que ocorreu foi que os fabricantes as tornaram obsoletas e caras, obrigando os clientes a partirem para outros segmentos.
why the TV screen is so small? I want to have 55" plasma panel that will burn my eyes. And so little touchscreen controls. Steering wheel and gas/brake pedals also should be on touchscreen. This will be so modern.
Tive quatro VW Passat, só passei para o Jetta GLI porque a VW do Brasil não está trazendo mais Passat para cá. Se voltar a trazer, VOLTO PRO PASSAT CORRENDO E COM CERTEZA !!!!!!

Does a sales exec really want a diesel car for 3/4 years, not any more. So does this come as a petrol hybrid or full electric, if not where is the target market.
Don’t like the front being too much like Polo/Golf, rear is a bit boring too, interior is ok but is there any backlighting on switches? No small storage box by drivers door, centre above head storage gone? Like the seats pattern and rear seats but don’t like the fixed front head rests they block the view forwards for rear passengers and back for front and what if your head only reaches the metal part do you need a cushion?😂 They should have taken ideas for the front from the Arteon this one is BORING. Is this an auto? Where is the manual centre change is it all paddles now?

For that reason i bought Ford Puma with all the buttons and dials. Infotainment display is there only for my Carplay - best option.

Conversinha besta. Passat 2016-2019 tem no Brasil e é melhor que Jetta GLI 2018-2023 e Golf GTI 2014-2022 em todos os aspectos.
