    My favorite thing about decks like this is if anyone gets salty you can remind them it’s their own cards they lost to :)

      EXACTLY! As I mentioned, its a compliment to the people you're stealing from!

    Love this type of content from you! It’s nice to see a Sultai stealing matters commander! Always been a fan of Villainous Wealth.

    I dont like lantern of insight because the funniest thing about gonti is that my opponent has no clue what ive stolen from them until i play it.

    How am I the only one to notice that brainstealer dragon was already in the deck?

    So the most expensive non-land upgrades are opposition agent and dauthi voidwalker. I think Xanathar guild kingpin deserves a mention.

    Brainstealer Dragon and Void Attendant are already in the precon btw. Maybe next time actually put effort instead of just picking random cards from EDHrec?

    Talk about a deck that was severely underrated. At the prerelease here, 40 people showed up, only 6 of them had this deck including myself. As no one predicted the best deck was the izzit spellslinger deck, it just devastated the out of box experience. But second place was myself with this deck. Does the precon need some work? Yeah it needs a bit of tweaking for sure but it slams hard when your least expecting.

    8:33 Snow is actually excluded from this - I was looking at building the old Gonti recently, and found a "Judging FtW" video on him which went over some interactions. Turns out, snow is not a type of mana, but denotes any type of mana that was produced by a snow source. Curious little rules-thing

    Asusa, lost but seeking. Play addition lands from your opponents exiled cards

    Ive been playing budget Villainous Wealth for awhile, helmed by Banana Man Tasigur. An important part of the deck is recursion to either get back removal or steal spells. Id suggest a couple more of those types of effects in the deck.

    I have been playing decks that play other peoples decks since Etali came out. Idk its a theme I really loved for years and if someone at the table groans about it then they get auto targeted hard. Its not that bad of a strategy for me to play. whats worse is stax or combo. building a deck with your deck out of your opponents cards is so fun for me.

    Counter argument towards the eldrazi processors most cases their stuff is safer for you while exiled than it is in their graveyard.

    • @ThatMillGuyShaf
      @ThatMillGuyShaf  5 місяців тому

      Yea that's the biggest downside to it, but it could help with some politics to give folks access to their cards again? Could be a stretch but its the nature of commander

    This is great! I played this deck virtaully and felt that the ninjas were one of the strongest mechanics, happy to see you adding more!

      What ninjas are you trying out? I'm thinking of [[Moonsnare Specialist]] to recur some ETBs and [[Thousand Faced Shadow]] for some surprise swings!

    Blade of selves is a pretty easy way to get gonti triggers on all players each combat if you equip to an evasive creature, giving an invisible stalker myriad is pretty neat

    11:50 Is better memory lapse than narset reversal? why or why not?

    • @defro125
      @defro125 5 місяців тому +1

      Narset's reversal is double blue, while Memory Lapse is one generic and a blue, so it is easier to cast. Memory Lapse also puts the card countered on top of the library so Gonti can steal it, while Reversal returns the spell to hand. In either case, you stop your opponent from resolving the spell, but I think Memory Lapse makes more sense in this deck.
