Crass were taken to court on a charge of obscenity over this song. The authorities completely failed to recognise the true message of the lyrics and it backfired on them when Crass were acquitted.
Crass were great at spoken intros to songs. My favorite is the intro to "Nagasaki Nightmare". On one side of the headphones, you'll hear English and on the other side you will hear the Japanese translation.
When I was in high school and listening to punk and new wave, one of my best friends really got into Crass. He's a jet airline pilot now. lol. The album sleeves were basically massive sheets of paper multifolded packed with crazy graphics that would take years to digest.

This album is far and away the best thing Crass ever did, in part because Steve Ignorant fucked off for all of it.
This album was my introduction to feminism at the tender age of 16.

Andy Palmer played like that, Phil Free could actually play.
Where to start with this album. I still find myself quietly singing these tracks over 40 years later.
Have a listen to "Rudimentary Peni".
2024 still relevant and will remain so until we change how we live.
I wasn't a fan of Crass at at first, in fact I thought they were awful the first time I heard them but then this album just blew me away.
Poison in a Pretty Pill, from this album is worth a listen. This album is amazing.
Keep up the good work with crass mate.
Do mighty and superior by conflict or poison girls persons unknown
The next English person you should delve into should be Billy Bragg, he has written with Johnny Marr, & toured with the Smiths.
