- My Banyan tree is now 4.5 years old and is growing fast! Here I give an update and highlight some of the roots growing back towards the ground!! Also, is it time to start trimming some of the branches - let me know your thoughts in the comments section below??
thank you sir you encourage me to plant one
We have a house down the street from me in St. Petersburg that can't be sold now because the Banyan Tree has lifted the house up. I thought about that when you planted it close to your house. I would keep it away as much as possible. It's going to be a beauty!
I am from india.. and so hapoy to see our native tree 🌳 is somuch loved elsewhere...
Our history, culture, legends shaped around many particular things ..
Banyan and Peepal are two of them ...
In hinduism our ancient sages sit under banyan and maditate .
I’m in Venice, Florida. I would suggest trimming it now on the house side. That way, it will focus its growth on the arial roots & you can encourage it to spread on the side that is away from your house (more toward your back property line.) Your tree looks beautiful! I enjoyed watching your progression videos since you bought it. Thanks for the videos! P.S. I’d be more than happy to take any trimmings from your banyan tree! They’re such beautiful & majestic trees with rich history! 😊
I have already trimmed exactly as you suggested and will do a future update video in May!
I’d let it go and see what happens. Looks like it won’t be an issue for 50 years maybe.
Hello sir iam from India i have no Idea banyan trees can grow in the USA if we take care this plants this will last for centuries please plant these magnificent trees in open space public gardens
Fort Myers is loaded with them look it up
Dont cut the brances, allow it to grow without any disturbances. That is beauty. Do something for your house. You already added root barrier, that is enough. The undisturbed banyan trees will stand magnificently😇😇
Mine doubled in size in 3 months in Fort Myers. But I’m still two feet taller than it
I would trim tree so it has a balanced look. Also growing towards the house in a big storm it.could fall on the house with that heavy side going towards house. Balanced trees look nicer I think..
Beautiful majistic tree❤❤❤ please dont ever cut/trim it .. let it grow naturally...
Balance it out so it stays away from the house.
