@@YoBoyGodzillaYT 😂 I just recently bought a Walkman of eBay , I do still have my Technics tape deck but it’s not hooked up to my amplifier at the moment (probably needs new belts , I got it when I was 17 , 54 now 😂)
Jam on it ......never tire of listening and moving to this belter.......hair always stands on end ......boogie down bronx springs to mind 4 the same reasons........even though my run around just about covered my lack of a decent windmill ( atleast I'm honest )☺
One of my favourite Street Sounds Electro albums. There's something much more raw about this. It captures the era perfectly. And not forgetting the transitions and exclusive edits, especially side A and the transition between Pumpkin and Davy DMX on side B.
Listening to this brings back so many memories of long summer evenings with the crew (Breakforce) and heading down the local youth club to do battle with the various rivals of the time! Just heaven, then of course work got in the way as break dancing was not considered an appropriate lifestyle in the my first jobs company ethos!
I remember back in the 80s and my mate had a massive ghetto blaster and it was around 10pm and he was playing jam on it.. We was only about 13 years old. This car pulled over and these guys got out and took my mates blaster off him and drove off into the distance... I could hear jam on it playing as they drove off in the distance.. I'll never forget that night. The thing is I told him to leave his blaster at my house cos we was visiting a friend and it was a rough area but he wouldn't listen and took it anyway.
The way the drums come in on the first transition still sounds epic after 40 years! The second transition is something else too, those two tracks fit like a jigsaw puzzle. My favourite Electro from the series 🎉🎉🎉
I wish they would reissue all the electro even on CD to have a digital copy! This is one of the best electro to have been put out! My name gives you a clue how much I love these.
ive actully owned this vinyl twice once when it came out and once in 1996 i bought it in a classic bin.....wish i knew where they were theyre simply all time classics
I'd imagine that these would be beneficial for English language learners as the lyrics are quite basic. Are there any Spanish electros or old Spanish hip hop songs i wonder? As I'm learning Spanish. I think I'll go and search...
Seems like yesterday but the scary thing is that this is 40 years old. 40 years before the 80s was like the end of WW2, Charlie Chaplin, Edward G Robinson etc, ancient history for kids in the 80s. I wonder if that's how kids today see this now.
The mix between 'We Come To Rock' and 'Jam On It" still gets me after all these years
deffo :) those early electros were fantastically mixed together
Omg yes!!!!!!
Still gets me in 2024
There is no other track between we come to rock - jam on it,from England peace.
@@stevemartin4914 yes, that is what he means. the blend of those two songs ...... its what we used to call 'mixing' lol
Got this on cassette when it came out and I still got it (53 now)
Have you still got cassette player to play it on?

Yeah, who remembers when rap was about random stuff? Zodiac signs, dogs, a day out looking for girls, roaches, Amytiville house on the hill etc.
WE'RE NOT HERE TO HURT YOU, JUST HAVE A GOOD TIME: PLAY IT

The Holy Grail
Transition between first and second track is brilliant
There is something magical about
That transition!
Quality album

Think about how innovative these artists were. Music still banging.

One of the best comps!!
Bought these when they came out. Electro 1 to 5 and Crucial 1 are simply the best. Timeless !
Amazingly strong flow pionner of rap and electro ❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊 mc 🧠 3:47
best lp of the series consuming tapes and breaking down in Venice 84
Pure hip hop gold. Early to mid eighties nailed it. Beyond, things changed. Not worse, just different stylie. ✌️😇
Yeah mate totally agree
Epic album 👏 even at 56 years old 🤠💯
Side one was absolute gold, mixes to Imperial Brothers, Newcleus,
Mastermind was the best.
Awesome! "Dollar Bill" and "We Dub To Scratch / Jam On It" were passed off on Detroit radio as a "FM98 Master Mix".
My true ❤
bets album of series
Side One is The Bomb 💥💣💥
Masterfully mixed. Quality uploads Macky, thanks. Where's UK Electro? Lol.

Dude fancy seeing you here.
These trains raised us moulded us
Electro Two A side is still my favourite. This is a very close second. Im not sure what happened to Electro One, i didn't like most of it.
Electro 5 has a good swap with Captain rock and aleem.
