The only thing hard about the song is how hard it is to listen to.
I doubt that this joke is original at this point.
I got here a little bit late. So, Will.I.Am came from a time were rap was a religion a few could touch. He played with the rules of underground hip-hop. He has plenty of experience in the industry, worked with almost everyone important, and produced almost all (if not all) of his work.
Knowing this, this song is now to me very satirical. I remember this whole CD, it was different to his previous work with BEP but still not THAT bad (except that song with Britney, it wasn't horrible but boring and hollow as hell). Repetitive, but definitely something you would dance at a club, and he knew that. This song in particular feels to me like an answer to the music that was raising to the top at that time, if you all remember, EDM was everywhere and DJ's were almost seen as gods and artists would often work with them.
And then, Mick's intro ("this is hard" and the beat drop that to me is actually hard) and then the line he sings, "this is crazy psychology". They knew people would be dancing to that crap.
I want to know what you people think. I know now that Will was more than aware of his transition from hip-hop to EDM/Dance, but if he didn't do that, his album would have been pretty much irrelevant.
Saddest thing is that Will.i.am can actually be a pretty great producer when he wants to be. I have no idea why he was possessed with this ceebeebies EDM crap.

I hear "liquid Swartz" (not "liquid swords"), which would be a reference from the movie "Spaceballs," -- a Mel Brooks parody of "Star Wars." They say in the parody "May the Swartz be with you." In the film, adding liquid Swartz to your space ship's fuel system makes it go incredibly fast, possibly even reaching the light speed of "plaid" which I believe is being achieved by the end of Will.I.Am's video. His uniform looks very similar to that which the Spaceball Storm Troopers wore, but whereas the Spaceballs in the film were not cool, Will.I.Am would have been the coolest of them all.
