I actually had a ton of fun already with Arcade. Some highly recommended titles are: Sayonara Wild Hearts, Sneaky Sasquatch, Exit the gungeon, Card of Darkness, Spyder and Manifold Garden. There's more interesting ones which I still have to try out but it's actually a very solid package at the price, especially divided amongst family members.

Gris Is such a beautiful game I play it 30 minutes every night with headphones.
And it's one of those Legendary games that not many get to play.
I'm getting much further into it now and really enjoying it!

I could not recommend Apple Arcade highly enough and the output to my Asus gaming monitor over the HDMI output and the MFI programme make this an absolute must. There are at least 10 to 15 titles that I would commend to you but my favourites include Decoherence, Skate, Spyder, The_Otherside, Hexaflip and Speed Demons.
The low monthly price-point, the lack of ads and in-app purchases make this ideal for sharing through Family Sharing with my sons. Finally, being able to play across all of my Apple Devices including the Apple TV mean that this is a genuine contender as an alternative gaming platform and once you start gaming through your TV or via your iPad on a monitor with a game console controller, I find it hard to understand why more is not being made of iOS as a gaming platform for casual gamers. I have been playing computer games of one type or another for over 40 years and have had every major gaming console over that time and I genuinely think Apple have done a great job with the Apple Arcade. It is not intended to replace Xbox or PS4 or even the Switch but as a standalone platform to use on devices that people already have for other purposes, it is really good.

I haven't verified all of the games support the controller, but there's a lot of indie games that have made the move to iOS, and I think get forgotten under the bloat of F2P games. But there are games like Grimvalor, Oddmar, Journey, Battle Chasers: Nightwar, The Talos Principle, Severed, Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition, Crashlands, and quite a few others that I'm forgetting. Some others I didn't list simply because they are touch first games, but still good like The Room series of puzzle games.
There is also the asphalt game series that also works with controller, it is a great racing game with good graphics.

You can use a keyboard and mouse as well! But not as much games.
Get a ipad arm extending holder it would work great
One game on the arcade I think you should check out is Sayonara Wild Hearts. Very relaxing indie game with tons of action. It’s also available on the Nintendo switch if you want to permanently own it.
PPSSPP emulator is the only thing you need for iPad Gaming
It’s the only thing that can change resolution of the interface to fit the TV or external display.

Gaming on the iPad is something I want to like... but for now, for the games I play, I just don't see the point when I have a Switch :P
I’m getting one for Christmas! And I’m a avid gamer and since school is online and it has the A14 chip, it’s like a god compared to my older iPad(no offense lol)

If I were to change some things on the iPad setup though, this is what I would change.
Monitor: Apple Pro Display XDR
Speakers: Audio Engine A5
What a waste of money for the monitor. If u were willing to spend 5000, just buy a high end gaming pc set up and if I wanted portability, then buy a switch. The pro display XDR is just an Apple money grab

While I agree that a high-end gaming monitor 9 times out of 10 is the better buy, when combining the monitor with other Apple accessories, I'm usually looking at video editing, programming, or something where lots of detail and color accuracy is crucial. As gaming can also be done on the Apple Display and something like an iPad pro would never do justice to a higher end gaming monitor, I thought the Apple monitor would be the better buy in the long run.
Gaming on the iPad is awesome. Sucks that people generally won’t spend money on these types of titles but that’s what Arcade is for I guess. Pascal’s Wager is one I can’t recommend enough.
Pascal’s wager was on my list but I skipped it in the end! I’ll give it a go if you say it’s good though, enjoyed the souls series and it looks a little similar to that?

Now that we know Apple is turning to ARMS for the next macbooks and iMac, this offers a glimpse of what the mac familiy will offer in term of gaming.
Apple Arcade wil grow with more and more console games coming to iphones, iPads and .. Macs.
So, we still will have all those superb "indies games" on Arm Mac..... ohhhh yess, sorry ... I wanted to say "Apple Silicon Macs" ;-)

Butter Royale in Apple Arcade is my favourite.
Bro it's also crazy how good mobile players have gotten. I know people who can easily beat pc and console players while on mobile.
Of course you cannot compare it to the console or PC but when it's come to the mobile platform, this is the best 😍.

I wanted to play dead cells but it had SUCH bad input lag with my controller.. I had to return it):
you miss one game meant to be played as good as in console, try “GRID”, it’s a racing game firstly on console and pc, it have insane details on ipad pro and controller works super well with this kind of genre

an apple arcade game "Senkai into the depth" ( about the underwater world, one of the best games I've ever played on a mobile device.)
The new Grid racing game is suppose to work on the Apple computer but it won’t work with my new dual shock Nintendo controller although it works with iPad but graphics aren’t as good.

That’s awesome!! I got Steelseries Nimbus, Logitech Key to Go Keyboard I am able to play Modern Combat 5 on my 12.9 inches iPad Pro. I also can use Nimbus and Key to Go for use with Apple TV 4K but Gameloft killed MC5 app for Apple TV 4K :(

It doesn’t yet, but it will. An apple developer video at WWDC talked about adding mouse and keyboard support to iPad games.

(im still gonna buy everything on this list) setup is: keyboard, ($8.99) Gaming mousepad, ($9.99) Gaming Headphones, ($200) (saving up for headphones) Gaming Chair ($100) and Gaming Mouse ($8.94) my device is ipad 7th gen. i know its expensive but i think it will work great with ipad 7th gen

For some reason when I play cod mobile on my iPad Pro 2020 even on my iphone11 the aim down sight trigger doesn’t work so I have to use the on screen button I also use a Xbox one controller I have gone through settings but nothing fixes it :(

So if you just have a iPad and you want to game people should use this but I disagree because a iPad Pro is 300 dollars you can get a Xbox series S for 200 and fins a good monitor for 120 dollars and that’s 320 and it will be better
