The design is not dated. Rather, it is classic and ageless design. Better than many funky and awkward designs dished out in the name of contemporary styling.
Classic and ageless dashboards with infotainment made for 12 year olds. No basic features. Camel hump in the middle. Definitely not better than the rivals.
Let's not be ignorant. Interior is definitely dated. As consumers if we do not give pushback, manufacturers will get complacent.

true very stable at high speed i own a vento and it's very stable and good steering feedback while on bad roads but my verna can't give that much feedback and quality but good for cruising
TSI is always ❤️❤️ forever no matter whether it's 2.0, 1.5 litre or even a 1.0 litre too!

They are 1.5L+ engines with 3 cyl,and 3 cyl engines are not balanced and rattle a lot after certain kms,and lower BHP and torque comes in the end of the power band,that is just below the red line...
All you do is see EU cars which are turbocharged and of higher displacement,even their DSG fails in indian conditions dude..

Actually this design is very elegant, sober and beautiful... All other modern cars are actually way overstyled to look like something that they aren't... Other compact sedans try to mimic the swanky luxury sedans..but this design is very minimalistic and a signature to the German brand..
i am a huge faisal khan fan, whenever a new model of car comes out, i always wait for him to review the car. but its not always about how much fast it can go, or how much torq it can produce. as an Indian consumer, i will not AT ALL look into these thing. just look at how many features it gets on the base variant of this car.

U said rider doesnt have any features..okay..for 8.6lakhs onroad it is having 4door power window, automatic ac, music system,rear adjustable headrests, tilt & telescopic steering, rear ac vents, rear armrest etc...i think its okay for a 8.5lakh sedan..take tata nexon base model and see the features..it doesnt even have central.locking...and the top end lacks features..thats right..but the rider variant ofcourse vfm...and in my area skoda service is done by rajasree motors who is the dealer of mercedez benz..and their service is good.too..dont talk blindly please..you automobile journalists should appreciatel manufactures giving a low cost model with enough features.

Acceleration review starts at 15:20. Start in cabin noise review in decibels while accelerating and at cruising speed and when reviewing boot space use cabin size bag and a full size suitcase to get better idea. Thanks

If you are one of those, who will choose flair over ruggedness, Looks over performance, Features over Fun then City or Verna for you! No doubts there. Rapid is a pocket rocket with a great engine, superb ride quality and built like a tank. The Rapid Rider version is the energy bar that you look forward to for those workouts :) The money that you would save makes it a super VFM without skimping on a lot of features making it a compelling buy!

Faisal always biased when comparing VTEC with other engines.Do we need to rev out the nuts to get the power from a engine.To my view the engines with strong midrange and especially with wider torque band are always superior in driving.At all landscapes and all load conditions this TSI and related midrange power delivering engines are way superior than I-VTEC.We need drive ability in cars for most people not revving out of hell..
Different engines behave differently. VTEC engines perform better at the top end because all the valves are open at those rpms. In a turbocharged engine tho, there's a sudden surge of power at the mid range so you could say that NA engines have a more linear (and also arguably consistent) power delivery.
Higher top speed then honda ...and faster 0-100 then honda...and faisal is saying ..........nothing beats Vtec. (octavia>Civic) (Superb > Aacord) (polo or fabia> jazz) and still noting can beat Ivtec....r u kidding me.
@@rajatsharma1976 I think he was only referring to the City when he said VTEC lol and to some extent I agree. In other segments Honda is indeed lacking. Octavia is basically carrying the D segment currently and the Superb is probably the only affordable full size sedan which is not a CBU lol.

Koenigsegg gemera engine is just a 2.0 litre (3 cylinder) and makes 600 hp.

Dude... your question is on 1 liter engine and you are referring to 3 cylinder engine. Are you confused? Koenigsegg has 2 liter 3 cylinder engine. And it has 3 electric motors. 600hp is not coming from 3 cylinder engine. The main issue with 3 cylinder engine is vibration. they are not refined and loud.

I bought rider on 1st July. I felt the same below 1.5k rpm turbo is absolutely sleeping and when it wakes up it is monster. Great power comes with great responsibility. Car is really gem. On features front I am pretty happy. One must need floor mats, seat covers, led lights and reverse parking camera. Get a good tablet and holder instead of touch system as Skoda is very strict about warranty.
