This stitch is called shell stitch in English.
This stitch lends itself to several applications such as handbags, purses, scarves, blankets and pillows. Shell stitch is the result of joining 5 double stitches into 1 stitch. It starts with a single crochet and ends with a single crochet. These two single stitches are 2 stitches apart from one another.
In order to accentuate the pattern created by shell stitch, it is advised that you use yarn of different colors for each row. That way, the finished product will feature conspicuous patterns. What I would also suggest is that you set up a color gradient from the lightest/palest shades to the darkest. Alternatively, you could strategically select colors that either compliment each other or are similar.
