We've been trying to mix it up these last few weeks here on TWMI, and filming less in front of our giant Step n' Repeat banner. What do you think of the ones shot in this style?
Since you mentioned using the referee as a tool in the ring, I'd love for you to make a referee themed episode or two. I'm a ref and I've always wanted you to do one to address a few things. -how can a ref make a match better -how do refs differentiate themselves to attract bookings -etc I know your referee audience isn't as big, so maybe alter it to teach wrestlers how to benefit from referees like this video. I feel like we get overlooked too often
Ref's are underrated. No mattee who or the number of people are in a match, the ref is the most important since s/he can talk to everyone including the people the backstage to send any kind of message and ensure there isn't a serious legitimate injury.
That mention about corner communication made my mind jump to that clip of Cena yelling to Miz in the corner “Bulldog”. Never thought about it but yeah, the corner is a pretty bad place to communicate, especially when it’s quick and bouncing out of it.
The Almighty UA-cam Algorithm sensed quite rightly that I am a pro wrestling fan and thought I might enjoy this video. It was correct. This whole channel is great!
I'm guessing they also use this for spots? What about longer and matches with more participants (e.g. royal rumble)? Is that more freestyle or still somewhat rigid?
So my opponent throws me at the ropes and says camera 2 is down, that's all well and good but what the heck am I running in to after I hit the ropes?? Lol
I'm a worker, been for a long time. Never cared about big timing it, just having fun and entertaining. You are seriously teaching camera angles over calling spots in the ring? Watch some old school guys. Jerry Lawler and Stone Cold NEVER had to cover anything with hair because they were taught by workers who knew how to do it. You can be punching someone in the corner and calling your next spot! No one is going to get over being taught camera angles. It's never happened that way.
Holy shit it's the Quack! You got a new sub in me dude. I'm from the Aussie backyard scene that Robbie Eagles came from. It was super fun. Went for like 10 years.
Great episode ! Communication is key to selling especially in those in ring missteps / improv moments! Un related, full of I feel very relevant insight on creative process, entertaining and drawing inspiration, from a revived legend is this interview with Matt Hardy from 2 days back. ua-cam.com/video/xUd5JXA7G0o/v-deo.html
It's acting it's choreography. It's no different than watching a movie which I hate to tell you are also fake. They stay in position so that the move is performed successfully and safely you need both participants to carry out most moves
I have worked with hearing impaired wrestlers several times. I always defer to them on preferred methods of communication. Each case is a unique challenge to tackle.
@@TilWeMakeIt I'm hearing impaired wrestler myself in Australia . I think it hard for the other wrestlers to get around to fact that I work differently compared with other wrestlers they so use too to calling it in the ring compared to having a straight out plan from before plus it's hard to hear calls myself from wrestlers while and they think I'm completely disrespectful to them for not hearing them

Is that your wrestling school
Can you tell us how do you make your own wrestling song
I always wanted to know everything about wrestling terms and languages in ring...

I see the communication from the corner so much. Even legends do it. The communication in passing was surprising to me though.
It’s surprisingly common!
love how theyre all able to avoid cracking up despite how funny theyre being lol
They’ve gone way too far
Most of the CHIKARA guys already know I'm on camera two. But I appreciate you all taking the time to double check. 😎
U the cameraman #2 for CHIKARA!!?? NICE

Yeah when I saw him setting up for that point, my immediate thought was "Yeah, JOHN!"
Awesome stuff. Would love more detail as to what to say in these moments when calling a match.
This video had me giggling all the way through, but I totally get what you are saying!
Solid advice as always! 🤘💀🤘
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks!
At 2:30 that polite "Oh." Caught me off guard lol🤣
The Almighty UA-cam Algorithm sensed quite rightly that I am a pro wrestling fan and thought I might enjoy this video. It was correct. This whole channel is great!
I love the psychology behind wrestling
I'm guessing they also use this for spots? What about longer and matches with more participants (e.g. royal rumble)? Is that more freestyle or still somewhat rigid?
Every match is rigged to some degree. Even the Royal Rumble has a planed ending.
thanks i was struggling with that in class
Glad I could help!
2:30 That _oh..._ killed me LMAOOOO
Great video! Camera 2 is on the fritz
2:08 funny, she sounds like my wife.
Clean out the garage, brother.
my favorite part of this video is the guy whos training me currently is standing in the ring with you.
How does one know who is taking it vs giving it. Is that why you see some wrestlers doing the same thing at the same time
So my opponent throws me at the ropes and says camera 2 is down, that's all well and good but what the heck am I running in to after I hit the ropes?? Lol
So very interesting.
Thanks very much!
But how do two wrestlers communicate with each other if they don't speak the same language.... Like an example of American wrestler goes to New Japan.
Tyler, this should help things along for you: ua-cam.com/video/JeWwNH1uvvs/v-deo.html
How about in Japan or Mexico
Cámara dos está rota

Woah! It's crazy to see how far Robbie has come. Everytime I see him in a New Japan ring I'm reminded of how insane his journey has been.
I find this entertaining. I wanna be pro wrestler
Me too brother that’s why I’m here

This is a lost art
Making it ripe for a resurgence!
Learn Ventriloquism, I find talking thru your teeth to be the best communication method in front of a live crowd.
Body language 101
You all need to go to an mma gym
Dudes funny haha
That's not what Quack says
At 2:46, LMBO!!!
Joeysu
We've all botched "JoSue" so many times now, it seems like we've all agreed to just say "Joey"
Who's breathing so loud lol
Is this for 10 year old kids that are new to wrestling?? Lol Jesus christ... Pretty sure everybody is aware of all of this
What if the wrestler is hearing impaired

I wish These people stop playing me For a Fool because I'm looking for something Different into Wrestling Lifetime Lifestyle's Discovery 📲
Funny how the students pay to become wrestlers .while this goof is telling how it is for free on UA-cam..
