I bumped into the real live Ade Edmondson in a Hackney pub about 8 years ago, after a King Crimson gig @ The Empire. He was in there boozing with Jakko Jacsyk (KC's lead singer) and what struck me was the way he was slumping & grinning *exactly* like drunk Eddie Hitler..
Its nice to know that Ade is a King crimson fan.

Yep. A hardline feminist at the BBC called Jane Root aborted the third series of Bottom. I believe it was in the writing stage and shaping up to be their best series yet, according to Mayall.

I can see how Lucas and Walliams were able to draw influence from this sketch and how they developed certain aspects into the sketches they'd create where a politician who had been caught out in an uncompromising situation would then give an excuse speech.
