A little over 20 years ago, I almost died from bulimia. I told no one. Not a soul. But I would hoard food without any intentions to enjoy it. Just "fuel" for later, when the next episode began. I purged and abused laxatives. As a result, I've lost ALL my teeth (and can't afford any sort of dental care) and I now have Irritable Bowel Syndrome (sub-type constipation). My fiancee suffers from Binge Eating Disorder, which is basically like bulimia, except you don't get rid of the food, and thus, you can become dangerously overweight. He is currently in a hospital (over 800 miles away) getting treatment. I miss him.
