Thanks for a great video! I have a few questions and suggestions though. What brand of two sided tape did you use? I used Gorilla Brand, and it failed twice after a few hours of being exposed to the heat. I finally determined that the surface area of spacer might be the issue, so I bought 4 -1" fender washers to mount to the spacers, cleaned the washers with 70% alcohol, reapplied the tape, and mounted the fan again. I'll know tomorrow if this solved the problem. I'm using a 100 W incandescent bulb for heat. I notice the jars on the upper most shelves seemed warmer, so I placed a digital BBQ thermometer on top, and the top shelves were 8 deg. warmer, even with the fan at max speed. Bottom temp 100, top 108 deg. I will probably just keep the honey on the bottom until I think of a solution for the difference in temps. Again, thanks for a great video!
Thanks for watching. I was also concerned about the tape getting warm and releasing, but it did not happen ... yet anyway. I'm rather sure it was a 3m brand tape. I used a 100-watt at first, then I changed to a 250-watt bulb, one of the red ones used for warming chicken eggs, etc. The temp was consistent, but I did find that if I needed to decrystallize faster I had to put it closer to the bulb. You can try adding a second fan to equalize the temp in the cabinet?
I just ordered my parts, thanks for demonstrating this!
No problem 👍
Where did you get that thermostat

I need something to de- crystalize a 5 gal bucket
@@ChrisDrumming Hum. Maybe someone has an idea. I don't think this heater box will be able to handle that mass
@@HoneyTopBeesYes it would. We do it all the time. Set it to 95 degrees. 24 hrs later give it a stir and give it another day and perfect honey.
@@sgiza30 on great. Thx for replying. I did not know if the heat would penetrate the mass of honey in a bucket. Stirring may be the key
Perhaps a dumb question but do you take off the lid or not?
@@weirjwerijrweurhuewhr588 Im not sure for a 5 gallon bucket. Maybe someone that has done this in a heater box can advise.
Thanks for a great video!
