    Love your videos. I'm a full time working mum and when you have a video out I take some time to stop and have a cup of tea before work and it restores my almost-burnout beautifully, thank you. Also amazing to get ideas of places to visit. I live in the north of Scotland so a long way away but hope to get to Cornwall in the next couple of years. I think the shelves would look good in white. Looking forward to more morning cuppas watching your's and Sunny's adventures together.

    I love little shelves. My choice would be the gorgeous green you’ve used elsewhere.

      Worried it’ll look too, errr, green 🫣🤷‍♀️ I’m swaying towards the walnut ink stain, but honestly I keep changing my mind 🤣

    Sorry got carried away with posting! Superb clog, and wow Mevagissy looks wonderful, even with lowering skies. And so good to see how well Sunny has settled in and living his best life with you.
    Tourism is such a two-edged sword isn’t it? On the one hand keeping so many places alive that may have just withered away, but on the other hand it impacts hugely on the property market and squeezes out locals. I’m a Scouser in exile for the past 40-odd years in beautiful Norfolk where we settled when my husband left the Navy. In my role as a health visitor in west and north Norfolk I saw so many villages which were virtual ghost towns.( yeah I know) during the winter. It’s a sad fact of life.
    Yes please, more vanlife and cookery!

      @hedgecomber  8 днів тому +1

      I get it, there’s absolutely no easy answer to the tourism quandary. Cornwall has the lowest income per household (at least it used to, I assume it’s still the same but if not it’s still extremely low) so without the influx every year it would be even worse. Yeah, so tricky.
      PS feel free to get carried away posting, the algorithm LOVES you getting carried away 🤣🤣🤣

    Loving the new shelves 🥰 I think they would look lush in the turquoise for a pop of colour (I need to do something similar in our vanny but I’m unsure of which wall 🤦‍♀️)
    That village looks absolutely Devine & reminds me so much of the Scottish costal villages on the East Neuk 🌊 🐚 🐠
    Enjoying this series so much and yes to pre cooked camping meals inspo 👏

    Make ahead meals - yes please. I tend to do a huge chilli con carne in the instant pot week before we go away and freeze it, then it can be used first night - and helps bring the fridge down to temp too on the way.

      @hedgecomber  8 днів тому

      Exactly, it’s the best way for me to eat good food and not spend a fortune whilst I’m away (even though i still mange the latter 😬)

    Another fab video Jane - just loving seeing you and that gorgeous boy Sunny on your adventures. Remember you got me addicted to my Aeropress during lockdown, I SO need that spoon. Can't see it for sale yet, will keep checking x

      Ahh, thanks Sharon! I haven’t managed to list the spoons yet, but there will be a batch available on the next Shop Drop which starts on November 29th 🥳

    What a beautiful place! Although I live in Suffolk I'm originally from North West Spain. I'm from a coastal town and the area where I'm from is very similar to Cornwall. I love watching your videos as they remind me of my birth town.
    It was me who suggested using the kettle strainer. 😛
    Also, yes please to cooking videos!
    PS Sonny is adorable 🥰

    Hi Jane I just bought a DJI Osmo pocket 3 combo pack this weekend!! It’s early days for me yet but I will let you know how it goes. I don’t have a brain for a regular dslr camera so this won over the Sony ZV-E10. So far so good. Check to see if will be good in your weather as I don’t think it’s water proof. I risked it anyway as I am on wet Vancouver Island. I had been using my iPhone 13 max pro and wanted a second camera. The only thing the pkg doesn’t come with is a charge box. Comes with the charge cable though. My iPhone charger worked just fine with it. I’m watching a ton of UA-cam tutorials right now. Can’t wait to use it! I’ll keep you posted! Oh.. and you will need to buy an sd card as well. You would think for the price you pay they would stick a charger and an sd card in too but nope!!

    • @hedgecomber
      @hedgecomber  7 днів тому

      Oh this is exciting! No, it’s not waterproof and that is a concern, but I’ve filmed with an iPhone for so long that it wouldn’t be a problem to just use that when outside in bad weather I guess. I look forward to hearing how you get on with it Val, fingers crossed you LOVE it! 🤞

    Dear ol' Fishygissy! I have happy childhood of coming here with my parents.
    We came here on the first Summer after losing my Mum (Dad had already passed). I wept and wept.
    My money is on green for the shelves! 😅

      @hedgecomber yeah something my dad would say. I believe it was a hub for the pilchard industry. Also why they're famous for 'star gazey pie' 🥧
