He must be a huge influence in the dressing room. His responses are always very mature and thought out. Hopefully he kicks on and some of the pressure is taken off him with more goals from wingers and midfielders.

The margins for success can be so small, having our support backing our players instead of putting everything under the microscope and jumping on their backs for every misplaced pass or missed effort can make a big difference. Time we started backing the team and stop this panic merchant, doom flapping every single day. The cry was no surrender, seeing fellow supporters just roll over for that lot is embarrassing. Who else was banging them in? Sima, danilo and roofe injured most of the time, silva was a dud. Midfield wasn't producing goals. His open goal misses in the run in at Dens Park, Ibrox, Dingwall, was just pure amateur tier & was a direct result of us not taking the league. Youre easily fooled imo. Dessers has been rank rotten all pre season missing chance after chance. And thats the story of his career here at rangers, 4 awful matches 1 good match. Hes not consistent enough and he lacks overall play to be a good player outside of scoring goals. We need much better and wont win titles with him leading the line.

We should consider Yusif Yazici to replace Cantwell as our new 10. Free agent on about £17k per week, he could be good for Ridvan having another Turkish player there. Another could be Alexis Claude Maurice who is also free agent and younger at 26 years old. Juan Mata is also free just now.

Ok he is not my favourite striker in terms of his play. I find him very frustrating at times, however if he stays I will back him and give him the season to impress and win me over. He needs to hit more first time and be a bit more selfish. Also he needs to watch getting caught offside and generally time runs better. If he can improve his league goals and do better this season then I can be won over. He seems a likeable lad and Danilo will also need to push on as he is our £6 million striker. Perhaps having both to rotate with and not having to rely on one guy constantly may help. The biggest issue in this team is centre backs, not Dessers. That area will cost us if it isn't fixed and rebuilt. Neither Souttar or Davies are good enough. Goldson and Tav as well should both go. If we can fix CBs, RB and get a productive 10 in and Cerny and Cortes up our goals from the wings we can have a decent season.
