What a pleasant evening, sitting with a whisky or three, looking out onto my English garden, watching you two lovely smiley people mucking about on your boat and wishing I was sharing that gorgeous tuna with you. I so enjoy virtually travelling with you, thank you for all your hard work, you two are just great company and very entertaining. Delightful.
Khiara .. following from the beginning, and, for the first time, I must say I'm feeling quite disappointed. Though your description of Adam's fishing rig design was perfectly thorough, and we'd all rather hear it from you than him, it did lack the one critical piece that we need ... the engineering plans, drawings, data tables and measurements that we all know Adam used in the design. Please dig about the lockers and find his stash of drawings. These will surely be stored with the anchor/bridle ones and the reefing/sailplan ones. Once you've found them, grab a cup of tea and sneak off to the master cabin and bring us the plans!! Once we've had a crack at the designs, the next time Adam trips off ashore for parts or other bits and bobs, you can catch enough fish to fill that freezer, the fridge, and perhaps even the entire V-berth with fresh caught fish. Imagine Adam's surprise! We don't even have to tell him his designs were amended if you like. It takes, as they say, a village to rear and raise a millennial. Together we can solve this fishing debacle once and for all! Of course, if you think this plan may lead to unforeseen domestic difficulties simply carry on. You both are fantastic, and the rest of us are madly jealous of your lifestyle 🤪
The less mass in the fridge, the closer the cycles will be, If you fill the fridge , it will hold the temperature more steady and will cycle less often. Relays and switches have a finite amount of cycles so keep your fridge full , even if its just water. Cheers !
You both are so cool and so down to earth, loving the recent videos!! Always puts a smile on my face. If you are ever in the UK, would love to meet, chat and buy you dinner, Fish & Chips UK style of course!!!
Wow! If I could buy fresh tuna for that price, I'd never dip a hook again. #justsayin. I'm glad to see local people earning the money for their hard work! Good on you mates for keeping it local.
Yeah I think we paid more for the tackle to catch our own than just buying it off someone else 😬 Maybe in this circumstance it’s better to leave it to the experts!
Great video you two, l just can't help to smile each time l watch you together, solving problems big and small and always seeming to come out with a good attitude about it all. Fair winds and safe travels.
I enjoy watching your shows you all of you are very lucky man married to a hot redhead I was married to a redhead for 29 wonderful years until we went on vacation and had an elevator issue she's no longer with me due to that I think about her every day and I know she's here with me watching your videos
Good to see you both smiling so much, especially after watching you struggle with the new fridge opening Love your videos, I find myself smiling along as I watch 😁👍
So my YT feed put your old boat tour up next to this new episode. So I watched it. First thing... Khiara, you need to dig out that dress and wear it again. Second thing, Adam, thank you for getting rid of that bundle of hair on the back of your head. (Never was sure what that was for.) You tw0 are so much more competent and confident now versus then... it's like watching different people who look somehow younger but act somehow more mature. And the tour made me realize how much I envy your Tayana. Love you guys!
Aw thank you! (Mainly for the looking younger part 😉) we have learnt SO much since then but I guess we don’t realise it ourselves! I think we need to dig up some old episodes and compare. There is no love lost between Adam and his old mop of hair either! 😆
light tackle rig with a bait line , and heavy tackle rig with a weight , leader, hook and the bait you caught , fish at or after dusk or dawn , will catch all you need
Some basics for the engineer/cook. 1 Teaspoon = 5 ml, 1 Tablespoon = 15 ml. Thus, doing some quick maths, 2 Tbsp equates to 6 teaspoons......We have a recipe for Asian Sesame Salmon that is a fave - you could try it with almost any fish, tuna included. Dead simple for anyone with a working understanding of 1/2 rho v squared. //// 1/3 cup or 80 ml honey, 3 tbsp or 45 ml soy sauce (use tamari soy sauce for better flavour), some granulated or freeze dried garlic, some powdered ginger - 5 to 10 ml of each should do, granulated or freeze dried onion flakes, whatever quantity suits you, dried chilie pepper flakes to taste. Stir and pour over fish. Bake in 350 F oven, basting now and then until fish flakes easily. Serve with chopped green onions if you have them and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds. Super. 😊
Now I want tuna !! That is so cheap compared to us here in Australia. I saw albacore tuna for $33 aus for a kilo ..We went for barramundi!Much cheaper hahaha .One day you will catch a fish, don’t worry ! Loved the video x
On your fishing rig that was good, you forgot the third boy that you tie a 2 lines two one has a lighter with a prawn strapped to it the other has a stick of dynamite the fish eat the prawn and ......
Great video as always, a question do you usually use the bottle opener like that? I ask since i kinda learned to do it that way and it always stumps people when they see it :) Keep enjoying it a joy to see the episodes
What... You can't leave us hanging like that... So how did the tuna taste, was it edible ???... Love your vids guys, keep up the great work and take care...
This might be a stupid question, but is that fridge heel friendly? I always thought that fridges need to be near level to operate or else the compressor can be damaged.
Starving people end up eating their own bait. Has to be one of the most ecologically shortest food chains known to man. And you had no bread, old or new, that you could have crumbed and mixed with the ginger powder, to create a crust then shallow fried ? When I saw that knife 'clunk" through the tuna I thought, well, the Gobi desert sprang to mind.
You guys are great, I do have to say that I’m a little disappointed with your fishing method. Putting hooks out on floats is a very indiscriminate way of fishing, you could get a turtle or some other unwanted fish and end up killing it. Using the hand line or a fishing pole where you can release any unwanted fish would be the way to go. Not trying to preach just giving information. Really do enjoy you guys and your videos, keep up the good content.
Cold beers from your own fridge!!!! wow!!!!! (that can cure even a bad fishing day! LOL) Cheers!!!
Even after I see the new fridge and the awesome fish all I can think about is the Carib beer....
Haha, it really was icy cold 😆

Glad you have fridge installed in your sailboat ! Enjoy cold beers break while you both relax!
Thanks mike! 😄😄

Nice work on the fridge mate.
Enjoy fish dinner onboard this evening ! Mike from Missouri

Pretty much a pretty nice fish! Love your videos. Keep it up!
Just signed on as a virtual crew member and enjoying it all...even the technical explanations...seems quite understandable to me...mahalo
3pm is defo lunch! 😂
You guys are so much fun to watch....aaah 😁⛵⚓
Always make me laugh...
Thank you, thank you
And thank YOU for watching! 😁😁
Nice video
Nice job on the fridge install guys!! Nothing like a COLD beer to toast your success!!
The less mass in the fridge, the closer the cycles will be, If you fill the fridge , it will hold the temperature more steady and will cycle less often. Relays and switches have a finite amount of cycles so keep your fridge full , even if its just water. Cheers !
Congrats on the install of the fridge...Millie is becoming one fine yacht.
Another fun and interesting video....

Thanks! Would love to head to UK at some point so we may meet in future! 😄

Ahh cold beer and nice smile, and a day of fishing life is good.
The art of being a cook is adapting to what you have at hand - a bit like life really, adapt and keep smiling.
Looks great. A real chef uses whats locally available. Nice to see the fridge in and working.
CHEERZ!

Great video, you guys are awesome.
It is always fun to watch your weekly adventures.
LOL looks like a keeper tire
Nice video, folks. I enjoy your ongoing efforts to catch fish. Very entertaining. Cheers!
Completely sympathise....we never catch fish either! Very jealous of how cheap your tuna is though!!
🌟WOWIE! ZOWIE!!! $2 per pound (U.S.) for fresh off the boat tuna!! 🐟That's incredible!! 👍🏼
Just discovered your Site. Subscribed and watching. Just give me this one hahaha Thank you. Stay Safe
Good job on the dinner/ lunch you guys are great
Peel fresh ginger then freeze when needed use a grader them refreeze easy to always have ginger lasts a long time.
Love your channel, cheers me up no end. Once you crack the fishing thing you will be set .
Awesome video, now I'm hungry for fish!!
Good to see you both smiling so much, especially after watching you struggle with the new fridge opening
Love your videos, I find myself smiling along as I watch 😁👍
2.2 pounds per kilogram. Your videos are as entertaining as they are eye opening to a hopeful liveaboard. Thank you!

I suggest you call the recipe Atuna Grenada. It means no worries!
Second. The O'Kelly's showed your video about getting her on board! Time for a joint video! Love you guys! Stay safe and healthy!
Do you have a link?!
God bless you both. I love your videos. May your marriage last forever.
cool i like that beer time
I was disappointed there was no "review" of Adam's recipe. On the other hand, the way you guys gobbled it up was praise enough!
Now I want tuna !! That is so cheap compared to us here in Australia. I saw albacore tuna for $33 aus for a kilo ..We went for barramundi!Much cheaper hahaha .One day you will catch a fish, don’t worry ! Loved the video x
Adam's Tuna Almondine! Attaboy! Looked good. :¬) Webhead USA
I'm sure that tuna tasted as good as it looked as you prepared it!
That was a "great catch" for
$4.00 US/Kilo, well done!
Get the beer into the new fridge.
Ginger in your plate and across your plate.
Hmmmmm.... I'm at a loss for what you call a sundowner at 3pm. LOL
Bit late for breakfast beers too... maybe ‘it’s 5pm somewhere beers?!’
Often fresh fish or premium cuts require few spices to be very tasty. Save all of that for the food that needs it. 😜👍👍✌️✌️✌️
That's a Cuban YoYo drop line FYI! lol come on you guys you are in the ocean with fish in it! The fish did look good xoxo!
To paraphrase Jimmy "Its lunchtime somewhere!" Its yours Adam :)
If you ever around South Africa, come and we'll give you a diving course.
Thanks 😄 I heard the diving is pretty cool there!
First glance at the thumbnail for the video I thought Khiara was showing a ring Adam got her...nope, just Khiara being stylish as usual.
Turn it loose. No matter how you prepare it it will be tough and rubbery. 😉
So how was the fish?! 🤔All that and no culinary verdict? ☹️ 😄
OK 29th and it just came in! Dang!
On your fishing rig that was good, you forgot the third boy that you tie a 2 lines two one has a lighter with a prawn strapped to it the other has a stick of dynamite the fish eat the prawn and ......
You can retyre now with that catch.
What was better, the tire or the tuna....tire looked a little tough but good for a few meals
🙏🏻...
you did well with the tuna but being a retired Chef all you needed was butter garlic and on the gill 3 min a side and lime or lemon before serving
Will do that next time! Sounds a hell of a lot easier 🙂
What are you going to do with the rocks ? Bash the fish on the head ? The joys of owning a sailboat :)
Whooops I thought I left that in there... well, the deliciousness was a given 😉
Thanks for watching!
Well how was the fish!
Ok... I know if we cross paths who WON'T be doing the cooking.
This might be a stupid question, but is that fridge heel friendly? I always thought that fridges need to be near level to operate or else the compressor can be damaged.
Question: How do you deal with cash? How do you get it, and what currency do you use (local or USD)?
Need to swap the door around (if you haven't already)
Does the new fridge need some sort of lock or way to secure the door when you are underway?
Most boat fridges do or are top opening. the trick is not to open a front loader when you are on the wrong tack.
might want to check out a youtube video on culinary tactics
was just at the shops and tuna was AUD36 a kilo... at this price differential how can I afford _NOT_ to get a yacht and go sailing...
Haha you’re practically making money by going sailing!! 😆
How dare you destroy my expectation of hearing you say “Barby” by proper queen’s English 🤪
How did the tyre taste?
Is it edible? Asking for a friend....LOL
Looks like the right side of the table has been compromised 18:48 🤭🥴🤷🏻♂️
When you said tire I was picturing some awful tasting, chewy fish...
Starving people end up eating their own bait. Has to be one of the most ecologically shortest food chains known to man. Ps call your recipe NotFish the Vegans will go nuts
soon as you stop using recipes [ and measuring ] , you can start learning how to cook , my method of trying to teach people , cheers from CT
What was that you put on the grill?
Tuna! someone didn't watch!
Learn how to troll some lines while sailing. Use squid lures.
FIRST!
We are so jealous. $5.00 per kilo for fresh tuna, we haave to pay at least $15.00 to $20.00. Enjoy
First again!
If the fish are under the boat, why not use your bouy's next to the boat?
It’s a whirlwind of a bay, didn’t want to tangle ourselves up!
Appreciate the conversion to Fahrenheit!
Sure $5 for the local tuna, but $10 in gas to go get it. LOL
That is still probably a good buy where I live...
ALWAYS call it 'bait' or 'lure' so fisheries can't prosecute on the admission of 'fish' being used as bait
You guys are great, I do have to say that I’m a little disappointed with your fishing method. 100
One minute for tuna so thin
y'all talking kids...?
Sorry, Mates, last I checked...a rubber tyre is not edible. Too chewy; bad flavor. Cheers!
you are on a sail boat leave the culinary arts to the pros keep it simple getting creative is a good thing
BUTT
