Iron tail has been far more useful than quick attack. I can’t even think of a single instance where quick attack has been the finishing move, whereas iron tail has knocked out TONS of strong Pokemon

Or getting anywhere near Diantha's Gardevoir? Look at how many shadowballs the thing had to throw to figure out greninja when those would have all gone directly to Greninja otherwise. The clones directing focus away from the original creates SO many openings its not even funny. Plus do you not see the value in forcing your opponent to waste time attacking at what's not there?

Greninja would NOT have gotten as close as he did to gardevoir or mega sceptile (frenzy plant is so broken in the anime) if it wasnt for double team. Look at how many shadowballs gardevoir had to throw to figure out greninja instead of just focusing on the real one from the start.

They hardly won in battle and when theu did, it was never enough to outweigh their failures. Same can be said for Sirfetch'd, who despite beating fairly ppwerful opponents, still had more losses to his name than he did wins

I think you got rid of iron tail too quickly for Pikachu's most versatile. Pikachu has perfected its ability to use iron tail to the point where he rarely misses even though it has a high chance of missing. Pikachu uses iron tail defensively to block attacks and even cut tax in half. And also to jump. I can tell also can Lower the defense of a pokémon. I respect your perspective on quick attack... But I would still say iron tail

The thing with double team is we never see the clones attack. Ever. Every time double team is used its as a distraction so the OG mon can get close.
