I make the lemonade chia seed drink all the time! I basically made my family drink chia seeds since I'm the one who brought it up and they loved it(I'm 13)
I drink 64 ounces of water twice a day and I often just throw some chia seeds in to make it more intersting to drink 👍👍😃 I have also done juice with chia and that's always good.
I make one with some lemon ginger and echinacea juice and it's like a ginger lemonade! If I'm feeling really fancy I'll put some green juice powder in there as well :)
From lemonade to chocolate milk, find out my four favorite chia seed drink recipes that help me to enjoy some variety while drinking some chia goodness which is full of fiber, protein, omega 3s, and antioxidants. Which will be your favorite?
I love how you include you babies into it 💕 it's like look even kids love it! Lol thanks for the tips! I usually just buy my juice at Trader Joe's but lately it's getting so expensive because I love it so much! So helk ya I will make my own from now on! Actually just made mine now and it's amazing! Your recipes are way less complicated then other people's recipe 😜 thanks for the tips again!
I've only just discovered chia seed and love it. Also I've tried you lovely lemonade chia drink!. Thank you for that. I wanted to know if you have a recipe for blotting and IBS (for constapation )and the daily intake for regular bowel movement . Please I'm desperate! love the look of all your drinks and I will be making them
+Maryam Kaheni Glad you liked the lemonade drink, I'm not sure what to recommend for your tummy troubles. Anyone have anything they would suggest? Is it possible that you have some food allergies/sensitivities?
i do my own version of chocolate milk chia seeds i get alpro chocolate soya milk and add chia seeds to that before i go to bed and have it for breakfast in the morning, i guess its kinda like a chia pudding cos i add so much chia but i looovvvveeee it!! :) i just did the coconut one just plain coconut water and chia seeds (i don't have stevia) so i will have that sometime tomorrow. I have also just made chia seed lemonade type thing with chia seeds lemon and lime juice with some hot water :) thanks for sharing your videos! :)
+Regina I recently noticed that I'm not tolerating cacao powder very well, it makes me really jittery and I have trouble sleeping for a few days after. But once I stay away from it and use cocoa powder instead I'm fine. Could just be me? ( :
These are great ideas!!... Until now I only know chia´s seed with water :( ... Thank you.... and also.. what brand or how is called that "drinking glas" you used at 6:43 ? Thank you!!!
+Beth Ann Adams You could definitely make them the night before and they would be just fine. I made all the drinks shown in the video and had them over the next 3 days and they held up just fine. ( :
I heard stevia wasn't very good. Also, you should try adding Blue Diamond Chocolate Milk with chia seeds, chilled for at least 2 hours, of course. Gosh.. ingesting healthy substances is such a exciting thing for me.
Do you ever have any problems cleaning your straws..like Chia seeds stuck in there or anything? I want to buy them but im afraid they would get gunky lol.
+Breanna Jueden-pytel My straws came with a little cleaner, like a pipe cleaner so to speak with bristles. These are key because yes the chia seeds can get stuck in there along with smoothies. ( :
Thank you for sharing!! I'm trying to get comfortable with purchasing stevia. I'm a little skeptical from what I've read and a little nervous that it might turn out like the agave nectar fad. What made you feel comfortable Ashley with putting it in your diet. I share your view and lifestyle regarding nutrition so I value your opinion. :) Also I wanted to see if you've tried raw okra as just a snack. If you haven't it's delicious! My latest OBSESSION! I know you've said that your looking to try to impliment more whole foods for snacks! Take care!!
+Stargazer Lily This article helped me decide: foodbabe.com/2013/04/25/stevia-good-or-bad/ At the end she recommends the one I use or Trader Joe's stevia if you have to use pre-made stevia that doesn't contain all the extra fillers and stuff. ( :
Just add vanilla extract to cacoa powder , no sugar needed. I'm gonna try chia with celary ( for the organic sodium) and tangerine juice (less aciddic than oranges) and apricot juice (for potassium) with a little lemon perhaps. Then I spoil the taste completely by adding the two algaes and pine pollen. lol
I soak my dates with chia seeds in water in the fridge over nite. Take pit out before u soak and use all water that u soaked everything in 😀 or can soak in your milk with dates and chia seeds over nite
I'm going to try the chocolate chia seed drink and I can't wait! 😋💕 Also I'd love it if you could take a minute to check out my Instagram account ( vegan_cook ) 🌱
Cold brew coffee with chia seed gel added, no sugar, no milk. Wonderful. Banana smoothie with yogurt and chia gel, splash of milk optional. Soak chia in cold green tea, once sufficiently soaked add honey, lemon and ginger. Very healing The chia gel is so neutral in taste you can basically add it in anything. Once you get people over the plate fright of the gel and slightly crunchy texture you really can add it into many meals. I got my parents off of metamucil and replaced it with the chia gel which adds just as much fiber but far more nutrients into the diet.
Why do you use stevia with coconut water? Isn't it sweet naturally? Try to find a better option of a sweetener. White stevia is not good, go for the green one which is a dried plant ;)
SI keep a jar of chia seeds soaking in water in my fridge all the time. My favorite chia seed drink is with coconut water. I get my coconut water fresh from the coconut. I just add a tablespoon of my soaked chia seed to a glass of coconut water and drink that. No added sweetener! Delicious.
I had someone freak out on me when she saw how many I used in my drinks. I explained to her that they carry toxins from the body via the colon and she relaxed. I make my chia drink with my homemade Kombucha, lemon or lime juice and or some mint. SO good!!! 💋
+Shannon Professional Aesthetician Yep, me too! Gasp...3 Tbs.! LOL. Glad you can relate. ( : Yum, some mint would be a nice addition, I'll have to try that!
I want to try choc chia one. It could be good for me on the middle of meals because I feel hungry soon after breakfast. this would be fill up and healty! Thank you for sharing this :)
The level of response to your viewers is the highest I have EVER SEEN !!! Keep up the great work. So encouraged to see the young so HIP. P.S. Throw out the Stevia
Hi ....actually I need to ask something about chia seed ..hope u reply pls.. I’m taking supplements such as Sugarbear supplements.. so is it okay to take chia seed at night and supplements at morning.. because some people said that chia seed work as natural detox.. so will that cut the nutrient of the Sugarbear supplements?? Is it okay to take supplements and chia seed on the same day?? Is it fine to take chia seed everyday?? Pls reply
I'm not a doctor, but I don't think the chia seeds would interfere with the vitamins. I have chia seeds in the morning when I take my vitamins and it seems to be okay. I don't the detox effect of the chia seeds is that strong.
Love this! Thanks! I am going to try this week! I just started blogging about health and inspiration and came across you. Love that blogging gets me in touch with like-minded people and lifestyles. Keep it up! Tracy from WhitsWay.com.
cause i heard also that if you dont let them gel for more time it could be a negative efect because could absorb some liquids from your body that are not supposed to
+AQ chino08 Oh yes, the more the better. Ideally you could let them soak for 8 hours or so if you want, but if you want to drink it fast, at least soak for 10-15.
The Chocolate Chia Milk looks so good. I need to try this!
+My Pretty Health Hope you like it!

I'm gonna try the chocolate one! I've never been a fan of the thickened chia texture but I'll give it a shot, maybe I can get over it :)
+Stephanie Moore Try it with a straw that helps me!
I'm from
a tropical country and here coconuts are ubiquitous
Believe they are either a little salty or very sweet .Coconut water is NEVER BITTER.
+aarthi duraisamy Sorry wrong wording, I meant to say, not sweet, just a mellow flavor. The stevia helps heighten the sweetness to me.
Thanks for sharing.
+Michelle Spatafora You bet! ( :

chia seed drinks actually help me go.. that's I very much one of the reasons I drink the drinks
Ive been blending chia seeds into my berry smoothies. Since the berries already have seeds, the added chia doesn't change the texture as noticeably.
+Lisa Vega Cool!
I recommend carob instead if you choose to not intake too much caffeine
thanks for the great drinks and your girls are so cute god bless them

Hi Ashley, what is your opinion regarding cocoa powder versus cacao powder? Just curious as to why you prefer one over the other. Thanks!

Regina Barnhill what's the fucking difference??
am currently having chia seed (3tea-spoon)+ honey + lemon drops twice a day. am i doing the right thing? or am i overdoing it? Please respond
How many of these do you drink a day?
usually I would just drink 1
These are great ideas!!... Until now I only know chia´s seed with water :( ... Thank you.... and also.. what brand or how is called that "drinking glas" you used at 6:43 ? Thank you!!!
+Wilmar Toro The glass I found at Michael's Craft Store...it's kind of like an old milk glass. Couldn't find a link to it online. Sorry.
I've never heard of chia seed drink. Could you make them the night before for in the morning or do you think they would gel too much?

lol cool recipe!
You killed it when you added copious amounts of stevia to everything.
Reason Desu copious sounds?
Reason Desu maybe it's a mixtures, hence not being as sweet as the regular concentrate.
beatifil ashley 😘😘😘😘😍😍
+Oyun TEKNO ( :
I don't understand why you're mixing water with juice that just sounds gross
It helps decrease the sugar content of the juice since it's watered down.
Try a organic date instead. Has fiber and better for u
Good idea, would you blend it up first or just leave the date whole?
I soak my dates with chia seeds in water in the fridge over nite. Take pit out before u soak and use all water that u soaked everything in 😀 or can soak in your milk with dates and chia seeds over nite

How many grams of chia? Thanks and good work 😉👍
Never measured it in grams, you can use 1-3 Tablespoons depending upon how much you want (I'd google the conversion)
