I challenge any to be sincerely seeking the Holy Spirit like the chapter of Acts it will completely change your life.. fast & pray for an encounter of the Holy Spirit , I never spoke in tongues, but was filled with the presence of God… it is awesome you will never be the same!!!…
Ephesians chapter 4vs30 says “do not grieve the Holy Spirit….” When I do wrong I feel a deep sadness for lack of a better word in my chest that cannot be relieved until I repent and “make things right” that’s the only way I know to say it. Romans 8vs16 says “The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit that we are the children of GOD”. I know that we can’t go on “feelings “ but I feel “Something “ within me. Does anyone else feel this way? I do not believe anyone can do the miraculous, I believe that when the Apostles and the ones they gave the ability to do miracles passed away and the written word came people that could do miracles ceased. But I do believe that GOD still works his will and answers prayer . Romans 8:28 “ And we know that all things work together for good to them that love GOD” That means All things . Even the things that we and everyone else think are bad things. If we love GOD it works for our good. Does this make any sense to y’all? If not feel free to correct my thinking and I’ll consider what you say.
What Mike is saying here is so plainly and repeatedly affirmed in Scripture that it should not even be a matter of controversy. In fact, I think those who are unfamiliar with the controversy over this among certain segments of Churches of Christ would be totally puzzled as to why this would be questioned.
