I agree with Forrest. I don’t think our jobs will be obsolete on 20-30 years but I do think our jobs are going to change dramatically because of where AI is pushing us. Thanks for sharing Forrest! Keep up the great work.
People keep saying automation is going to put us out of a job but it seems like it's almost doing the opposite. Like sure, maybe Uber gets self-driving cars in a few years, but right now Uber is replacing trips you would have driven yourself with ones driven by another person. That's the opposite of automation, it's adding one more person to the task.
Another way to escape the tutorial purgatory for me was to want to build something then watch tutorials how to implement each individual aspect or read documentation on the functions that will help me implement it.
LoL here is the reality.... If you want to get a good high paying job after college you need to have experience!!!! You will need to prove you know how to solve problems... So the more apps, services , back end frameworks , database data reports you can have in your portfolio the better. Just know if you end up in a big or mid or small corporate company you will probably will be responsible for support and system issues, it wouldn't be until you are there for 6 months before you get a project. If you go work for a start up then you be coding from day one and doing support. Also forget all the crazy algorithms ... In a corporate world you will not have the freedom to implement them.
I look up to you bud. I graduated this year with a CS degree, but I feel like there's nothing in my head. So I'm going through everything again from scratch, online.
lol the beard response was great. Your videos are awesome man. Very inspirational. Ive been coding for about 5 years (For fun) and your videos helped inspire me to go back to school. Its the first time I've went to college and actually maintained a 3.7 gpa (so far lol). Thanks for helping me find something I love to do and for helping me keep optimistic about things !
I love your content! Keep it up. I also want to know if CS is for me. What topics and things might determine that a person wants to study computer science?
The tutorial question was interesting. I was stuck in that loop for a while too. I decided to stop watching tutorials and start reading books instead. Not sure what the difference is but this definitely feels more effective and I feel more motivated.

My dream is to build an entire app or game by myself and succeed. I only started recently and I am going to need a lot of help to get started. Your videos help me a lot.
Secondly, I want to start building projects with my peers but not everyone knows git. So I've kind of been looking for a community that I can code alongside. I want to know if you ever felt this way, and if so, what is the best platform to make coding friends
would love to see these data structures in code, also, when it comes to outdoors stuff, if my girlfriend is with me I love it otherwise i prefer going to the arcade or coding at home
I've had to withdraw from my introduction to computer science class because I wasn't doing well in it so I'm to IT. Unfortunately for my school the IT department is new and in order to do that I have to get through my introduction to computer science and the next level.
Hey I got into BA IT and BS Computer science and I’m not sure which to pick. I’m a computer science major right now and objected orientated programming has been kicking my ass and I’m really not sure if I wanna code for the rest of my life . My goal was to get into cyber security but I’m not sure how possible that is with the first degree. Any help would be great love the channel
Just got out of the military and started a computer science program. I have a business management degree so the only classes I need are CS courses and some math courses. Do you think taking on multiple CS courses at once is do able?
Hey forrest, I'm in my third year of CS and some of these subjects are really waste and due to covid 19, our courses have become insanely difficult with profs giving out more project based assessment for every single class. I feel overwhelmed. For a CS career, are you overwhelmed like you are in college?
I feel conflicted with going into this degree because I keep having the thought that computer science is not worth it and that that only teaching myself will get me a job
Hey Man! I was hoping you can answer a question. I am really curious for what i need to get internships in a large company in the U.S. i am currently a second year college student, i am taking a CS degree. And i am just wondering if i will be able to work in such large companies especially that i am from a third world country. Any tips on what i need to do or build that can help me apply for my dream job? Thanks man!
So I have question. And I know it's late but I only thought of it now. Did you do group projects in college? If so, do you find it easier to code in a group than alone. In terms of getting the project finished in less time.
I think programmers who have complete knowledge in that language will prefer doing it alone since they know which direction they want their project to go. But in terms of finishing it quicker, it depends on others in the group, and if all have the same set goal, then collectively, since the work is spread between each, would finish quicker.
Hey, I was just wondering if you had a patreon or something like that. I'd definitely be willing to give you a bit of spare change every month and I know that lots of others here would as well.
I think that AI will take our jobs sooner or later, by the time computers can program themselves all other jobs will be gone too. It’s no use worrying when our programs can overpower their creators, because by the time they do everything will be so heavily automated that mankind itself is obsolete.
Think about it... If AI gonna take our jobs, then we will be the last groups of people to lose our jobs to machines 😂 cause we the 1 who develop, debug and operate them
I agree with Forrest. I don’t think our jobs will be obsolete on 20-30 years but I do think our jobs are going to change dramatically because of where AI is pushing us.
Thanks for sharing Forrest! Keep up the great work.
Seems like we are going to work together with ai but more in a human way if you know what I mean

That is almost exactly how I've been trying to grow my beard 😂

*I was so stunned when you read that question from someone who has the same name as myself. Did NOT expect that*

I find your videos really helpful man. Huge fan.
Thankyou for this. And yes the t-shirt is very cool🔥
Your answers were great logical answers. You did not mislead anyone.
Great video. Would like to see you do something like this every month 👍🏼

I have been looking at your Shirt since you started the video😅, didn't think you were going to talk about it😁

Thanks for the advice! I'm Emanuel, and yes I'm about to graduate! This december.
Also, are you picking up painting?
Highly recommend “lofi hip hop music to study to” for coding, it’s live on UA-cam 24/7

It can get you easy access to a masters for something safer like DS/ML

Sir, is it just your camera or you edit your videos, cause here colors are little different. (but good).
So I have question. And I know it's late but I only thought of it now.

Moral of the story if you want to build something build it and if you want to learn to code learn.
Dude what filters are you using when editing your videos?
I just play around with the color & tone until I get something I like.
And, I assume, that you must be getting this question a lot of times, but what video editor do you use ?
🙈
Ok
We're same I can't code while listening music with lyrics
