Not far from me... I love these places in the desert. They bring the best surprises. Thank you for sharing your journey. Love it!
Thanks for watching!
Stunning photographs of an amazing place. Your video makes you realise just how vast the park and indeed the country is. I hope Teena's foot is ok - don't think I'd like one of those spikes in my boot! Great video. Thanks.
Thank you! Teena is doing well! Thank you for asking about her
I really enjoyed this video. Keith! It's a place I've wanted to visit for a long time, so thanks for the preview. I especially enjoyed Teena's video of the rock formations. This looks like a great place for black and white photography. I was wondering if you have ever visited the ancient bristlecone pines in the eastern Sierra Nevada mountains? It's another location on my bucket list.
I haven’t but I’d love to spend time focusing only on those trees! I’ve seen some incredible pictures of them
As a NE Pennsylvania native, every time I watch footage like that drive across the midwest and Texas I am always in awe of the view because of the flat landscape. It's such a foreign view to me. As you were gingerly stepping around the plant life to get a shooting position I was wondering if there was any material for pants you could wear to protect yourself from them. I was also wondering how much the temperature varied from morning to evening. Was an ND filter required for shooting out there with the mirrorless? I've been researching ND filters and haven't decided yet between a variable or getting a set and some step up rings. Seems like the individual filters are better overall. And, the magnetic filters look pretty useful. What a cool place. Thanks for taking us along!! Have a great weekend.
Yeah the vastness out there is almost unfathomable. You can sometimes see a car coming for miles. As you could see I had really rough conditions - full sun and almost no clouds. I think an ND and maybe a polarizer would be most helpful. A graduated ND too.
Hello dear friends.
The inner person is not forgotten on this trip.
How long does it take you from your home to your destination?
Looks like it's been quite a trip.
The shadows and highlights on the mountains are very beautiful to see.
The monochromatic color of the shrubs and trees allows you to create beautiful, simple compositions that are very pleasant to look at.
Completely perfect for black-and-white work.
That stone you had in your hand is nice for my macro work.
The photo of those white balls is very beautiful, especially because you worked with selective focus. It's really a beautiful print, buddy.
That cactus with backlight is beautiful, man, what a beautiful photo. As I said before, the shadows and highlights are beautiful, especially in black and white. And the big advantage you have there is that you can choose from which angle you let the light fall on your subject. That nail must not have given Teena a good feeling. When I see all those rocks with the structures in them I get jealous. One day wouldn't be enough for me, at least a week. The very good video work shows how vast the area is and how big. Your old Hasselblad still handles the harsh light well, buddy. The one you made with the red filter is very beautiful, friend. What a crowd in that area I can understand why you ignored this. It is a bit inconceivable to me that people lived in such a dry and barren area. Those old cars are something special but wonderful to take photos of. Those night photos are special. When you see what's flying and hanging above our heads. Thank you, buddy and also Teena of course for this very nice report. Teena, you know how to use a film camera, really fantastic video work. I'll see you again in the next report. Greetings from the Netherlands, Antoine.
Thanks as always Antoine for the kind words! It’s about three days’ trip for us but we made stops along the way too.
@@Keithdotson You two did a heck of a job.
Beautiful pictures!
Thank you very much!
12:13 perfect
