@@LancasterLiving I think a video that highlights some neighborhoods/areas for people or families on a budget ($300k and under). Additionally, I’d like to see more new construction communities as well. I live in MD and am curious about this area, so perhaps featuring some neighborhoods close to shopping, dining, and parks? Just suggestions!
Depends on the neighborhood! More mature neighborhoods don’t have them as much (outside of the city) but have wider streets as a trade off. Newer neighborhoods have tighter streets, but with sidewalks
You showed all the places that are now well over million dollar homes. You didn’t show the “castle” that houses 760 to 800 residents depending on the season.
These are areas where we are getting a lot of questions about. Chestnut Hill in the city does not have million+ estates. We are also working on another video highlighting more affordable but popular neighborhoods
How about showing homes or cottages in the country/farmland for people on a budget? Not all of us can afford mansions like these and the homes are too tightly packed together for someone who likes space and privacy.
Hi Sue, good question. Many times those properties aren’t in neighborhoods, so wouldn’t be easy to showcase in a video. These are just popular ones that we get asked about all the time. But we have been asked about more affordable neighborhood options and it’s on my to-do list to highlight!
I’m telling you now. I know people who been living in The so called Chestnut Hill neighborhood for so long ..they weren’t even calling it that. Then we were all informed oh it’s always been that … well I’m telling you don’t come here There is no affordable housing for people that are already here. They are raise the rents so high to get rid of people who have lived and rented for generations then flip and sell to you. We will never sell our family home here. We sold one. Saw it sell again for 5 times the price paid. Greedy gentrification flippers and don’t care about those left in the wake take a tour to the south side. Flipped displaced people. Where’s everyone going.
Way over priced for the area. Sorry Been going to Lancaster for 20 years now and While it's a nice place to vacation it's not worth 500k or more. SOwwy
Do you think SoCal is worth the $3m+ for a STARTER home? Or DC area is north of a million for an interior townhouse with no view and no access to metro? Lancaster’s average sale price is in the low 300s, but there are many people willing to spend more for a nicer/larger house. And the job market/salaries do support it + work from home and the influx of people coming from more expensive markets. Hard to say it’s “worth it” or not, because home price is a function of means and preference, not directly a function of desirability
Really? I’ve lived here the majority of my life and all of these are considered Lancaster to me and anyone we talk to. Why do you consider them not Lancaster?
@@LancasterLiving anything outside of the city limits isn't Lancaster. No one I know considers areas north of the train station to be what we refer to as "Lancaster".
The title of your video stated Lancaster PA...not the county. Yes, you get higher commissions on the neighborhoods you showed, but there are many other nice neighborhoods in Lancaster PA
I think I need a "Best & Most Affordable Lancaster Neighborhoods"! Haha
Lol totally get that. Affordable to everyone is different, so it's tough to pinpoint that exactly!
Definitely interested in a part two!
Sure! What kinds of things can I highlight?

@@KyleSchwarm Thats not even possible.. have you not seen what things cost now? New Construction under $300K... never gonna happen.
Could you do a video with a rundown of each township and highlight a few neighborhoods and local points of interest for Hempfield, CV, MT etc?
Sounds like fun! That’s a lot of videos 😅 will add them to my list!
You’re showing southern buildings in LC as being in Chestnut Hill? I love the houses there.
Hi there! All the buildings shown in the Chestnut Hill portion are in Chestnut Hill. Other than a few glimpses of downtown when referring to downtown.
I will get in touch with you via smoke signal....hold on...let me make a little fire in my back yard.... 🤣😂😅
Do any of the custom home builders in Lancaster build 1000 sq ft homes in those nice neighborhoods? Or are they all larger?
Some neighborhoods it’s possible, but these nicer ones usually have deed restrictions for minimum square footage requirements
Sidewalks not the norm? Or does it depend?

@@LancasterLiving okay, thank you. We will keep that in mind.

No sidewalks tho? That' doesn't make walking essy
Wide road though. And cars go slowly through neighborhood

Things have changed my friend..
Gated communities are sad.... Why would anyone want to live in one? . Coming from Canada its very weird..
It’s unusual around here. Only one of them in the entire county! But in Florida pretty much every community is gated/secured.
Let's be real only 2 of these are Lancaster. The other 4 may have a "Lancaster" address, but, people from Lancaster know they aren't in Lancaster.
