I laughed when he talked about property and school taxes. We live in a $520,000 (assessed) home in upstate NY and our combined taxes (school, town and county) are $17,700. Yes, that is about $1500 a month. I'll take Pa. taxes any day over what we have to pay.

I moved here from eastern NC state. To be honest i frickin hate it here! 🥺 been here since 2001, became a resident in 2002. I wanna move back to where i came from. Attitudes here suck, cost of living is way worse, amish everywhere, everything about Pennsylvania sucks ass. Even my kin folk suck ass and are totally mean towards others. Pennsylvania doesn't welcome new people. I mean the whole state in general doesn't. Everyone here are always in a hurry up and wait environment. Definitely not for my likings. Its hard to make friends here because here everyone wants to take advantage of you, use and abuse you then wants to play victim. Hopefully once i get all my loans paid I'm definitely outta here. And, there is more traffic AND there is more noise (in the warm weather) BUT prices are low, parking is easy, it can be very quiet, it’s walkable. … This video has little descriptive information. Yes, it’s colder in winter Yes, there’s less night life than in Manhattan. It’s a sweet little country town growing up.

I’m 83 and reside in Venice FL, we have Costco, Walmart, Hope Depot , Lowe’s within 5 minutes. I play golf at an executive course and are permitted to walk, my energy level has decreased with age and walking g a full size course is too strenuous. The downside of Sarasota County is global warming and the increasing strength and number of hurricanes, preparation and storm surge warnings create a lot of anxiety. We live in a 3 bedroom 2 bath rancher with a 2 car garage (would prefer 3 car or oversize 2 car). The community we live in is ISLANDWALK and is a 24/7 maned gated community when taking lengthy walks at all times of the day are safe . Would prefer not to be in hoa community because we have not been using all the amenities provided. We have a friend who lives in Ephrata who may be of help providing information for possible relocation.

I'd change the slide to say Lancaster County. Lancaster, PA would be the city. Other than that, thanks for sharing this.

Credit is king,but overpriced homes put others homeless.Studios/lofts cost 1300+,very expensive.Gone are the days u will find homes less than 100k,without 4 others bidding higher than you. If you are new here get ready.The most superficial people you will meet, and if you didn’t claim one of these houses for sale,the rest of your time can be difficult on wallet.

You can just hop on the amtrak though and end up in Philly so that is a huge benefit.

I was born in Lancaster county in Mt joy pa. What I hate is the cost of housing got unbearable. Wages are horrendous.

Because of illegal immigrants coming into the area, the rents are starting to get much much higher. Is becoming much less affordable to live in the city. Very high Hispanic with some black population. White population is dwindling.😮

Sorry to report I'm not in the market for a home but when money begins pouring down on me, I will be looking then. (Of course, I would reference you to others through). I'm looking for a laid back area. Someone told me about Lititz??? Just seeking a modest apartment or condo that isn't a noise-magnet.
