He warned you he used to be a salesman 😂
I don't know why this channel showed up on my feed, but i'm glad it did. Great content.
Sending power and blessings from Melbourne, Australia
That's how I found it too, randomly. I'm a bit hooked. Cheers to Australia lil rasko 🎉👍🏽
Same here mate. Same here!
Nice to see another Aussie enjoying this content :D
This guy with the instruments, you can tell he was a former salesman 😂
That music guy was a mad salesman. He could sell ice to the artic.
That instrument guy was definitely a salesman…..Rick met his match.
Rick ?
Who the hell is this Rick you speak of.....
😂😂😂
Oh I love that old cassette boom box! That was a great time to grow up, living the best life back then! Rock on Pete! Love the show❤
That instrument guy was giving you a good deal.
😂😂😂
You guys were talking about generators like they can only be used for one power outage lol. Maybe you guys in the city don't loose power very often but living out in the woods, happens enough to 100% be worth it.
I live off-grid on solar/wind/battery/inverter system. I have a backup generator I haven't needed to use in years, so it's not working right now. I have a smaller generator that I use just for power tools. I don't like putting a sudden heavy load on my power system, and I have 20 acres so it's better to have a portable generator for my electric chainsaw.
They are also good for powering tools when doing work out in the field
omg when he pulled out the shoe polisher. This guy needs his own show.
Your patience is admirable. You might have a little old man for a friend.😊
Father's Day last year, we had to use a generator for a week. Power was out all over the city.
Holy Hannah!!!...That guy could talk the paint off a wall!
Right 23:57
The history behind the items is the real value
Cheers Pete! Long life and love to Honey🥰
Jay was a delight. 🤍🤍🤍🤍💕💕💕
That Asian guy is really smart with music. The way he explained how he is self taught and how others can do it too by memorizing the notes in a song was brilliant
Asian fella had a really cool collection. A collection like that tells a lot about the guy and i respect it. Seems like a legend
Nice to see Duran Duran stuff in the beginning of a video 😍 shout out to all the fellow Duranies out there!
Transfer those films to video and post on UA-cam...should get alot of views.
And it would preserve the film. Fantastic idea mate.
That instrument guy must have lived a very interesting life.
Yeah that's what I was thinking too!
to have lived & played his wonderful historical instruments in chicago at an earlier time heck yeah! wonder if he ever got to meet benny goodman or benny Golson or duke ellington?? a lot of those big jazz singers/musicians went to & from chicago through the years
A Cousnon flugelhorn this age is considered the best by many players. I would pay a 1000 dollars for it.
The guy with the saxophone is legit! How is this not professional content?
Who says it's not?
This is the most humble man in the business I’ve ever met I buy shoes from this guys business allot and video games hands down these guys are second to none in the business.
Never pull a record (LP) out of it's sleeve using the finger and thumb on the records edge. It wrecks the record by depositing grease into the starting track no matter how clean your hands are. Always nice for me to watch your content.
Love your channel Peter and your shop and the care you show your customers from a fan in south Fremantle Western Australia buy the way the fishing is great in Australia if you’re interested 😇🙏👍
The banjo guy was like the salesman in that Twilight Zone episode who was selling against the clock to save his life.
I have a generator that size… and I never want to move it again. I’m happy with my two baby Honda generators 🤣🤣
You missed a big score on the flugelhorn. That's the best most sought-after brand. It's in good condition, and all horns from this brand of that age sell for a minimum of 1000 dollars. I'm willing to bet that one was between 1750 and 2500! Have a bit more patience and look online for items you have no knowledge about. Excuse yourself to the restroom and check on your phone. You could have both made out happy.
Pete doesn’t need your advice.
I am glad you liked my Door County lighthouse card. I don’t know how it got to Colorado
I actually sent my cards from Door County when I was up there. I hope to get up there this fall.
That grey Craigslist Hunter shirt is dope
That banjo is worth about $300 tops!
if it was a 5 string lol
Loving all your videos and what you’re doing in general.
I’m from Buffalo, NY but living in Japan for a bit more than 20 years now, so great, for me anyway, to see just down-to-earth folks (and the occasional clearly not touching the ground types)
If you get a good quality pro trombone with a semi-big bore
Let me know and I’ll fly over there and grab it
I found it hard to sell Generac Generators nobody has money.
A generator is a nasty necessity. Love the channel bro.
What worries me running a pawn shop is that if you're not paying attention someone could come in and urinate in one of the isles, then you could be stuck with urinated on merchandise that you would have a hard time estimating value of even if it's quality stuff. Like vinyl records, the record might not be damaged and can be cleaned up,but the artwork on the sleeve may be discolored to the point that what do you do?!😂❤
It would be cool if you had a portion of your show showcasing all of your great buys and how much you sold it for kinda like a storage wars but for your store that would be cool
Told u nobody wanted them shoes dude got u they still in the case😂😂
Ahhhhh 80sss, My high school years...good ole dayzzz🥰🤙
I love that old man.
you should do an updated thrifting video on goodwill, savers, and some mom and pa shops. crazy how much they have changed since your last video
Jay even wore the same shirt ! He's a thinker !
The couesnon fluglehorn was a good buy.
I wanna see some horror collectibles
Thanks for the entertainment pete appreciate all your videos love the con
He might of got you but he didnt get you by lying he threw prices out and you bit good video.
My postcard made it!
The battle of the black and red flannels. He came prepared.
Thanks. My Poll-Lock Con Artist.😊
It seems like the testing footage would be worth a lot more than just war footage🤷♂️
It’s Napalm testing, which was a disaster. Honestly there could be info on those tapes that is important to the American public🤷♂️
1920s stomberg selling for over 3k on the web…
Love watching this place evolve, time is flying 🍻
This man plays all kinds of instruments wow
I was looking this stuff up as the guy was trying to push the sale of his instruments at much higher prices than I'm seeing they sell for, saying "Please don't give in to the gaslighting!" No offense, but we don't know that he's a "super nice guy," he said he had been a salesman, it's a little bit of that over friendly happy salesman vibe, he's got that "I'm so polite and friendly I couldn't be shady! And I'm doing YOU a favor selling at these prices!" attitude he uses when going into salesman mode.
Great content , enjoyed watching Jay......
Girls gasped at my name in the 7th grade. Until they found out I didn't play bass for Duran Duran..
We need a live item camera!!!!! Something from overhead maybe? Great videos either way.
I can't believe u felt into that one... I could feel it while watching the video. Unbelievable
If the gentleman looking for a stethoscope reads this, you can use a broomstick or regular stick to your ear to pinpoint engine sounds.
All I ever used was a long flat head screwdriver!
@@thearch1tect249 that'll work, but I never had one long enough.
@scottwright388 That's What SHE Said!!! 😂
I see lots of them banjo's over thousand dollars would be really interested in how much you make
That old timer worked you.
Jay can sell a Banjo , quicker than he can learn to play them ! He used the "Twinkle Twinkle , input into the computer and memorize" shortcut
When you need a stethoscope to check your car, it’s time to get a new car.
As many times as you come out smelling like roses just except the smell of this pansie and move on 😅😂
17:54. Pause it. Pete's doppelganger walked into the store! Mad crazy how he looks just like Pete! See for yourself and tell me I'm wrong.
I use to have a radio like that ,but not same as that one ,i was living on a school ,where we where not allowed to watch tv after 10 evening and we only had the tv in the tv room ,soo sometimes after 10 ppl did sneak into my room and we did watch tv .and the teacher busted us ,but could not take the tv .as we need a radio on the room ,and this was me and my room mates radio lol
you took the loss but Jay was great content for your channel , so you won in the end! we need Banjo Jay tshirts !
He told you he was a salesman! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I would track him down and Hire him!!!
always here in tacoma washington....
i don't know man i googled that banjo and i see multiple ones going anywhere from 700 bucks to 1000 bucks...like most of them are going for over 500 bucks....
24:00 Pete you’re extremely unintelligent. You’re what’s known as a Google/eBay expert in the reseller or pawn community. Phillips screws have been around since the 30s. That Banjo was probably made around then. They produced them between the 1920s and 1930s. It’s a Stromberg Voisinet Tenor Banjo and it’s in amazing condition for the age. Not only were you wrong about the year of the banjo, but you don’t even know when Phillips screws were invented. Well before the 40s and 50s, which again isn’t even when that Banjo was made. Prior to that they used mostly Robertson and flathead.
My man with the sunglasses looks good with the new haircut
The little boom boxes with the tvs was like lots of things, really 'high end' rich people thing when they first came out with certain brands, and then one year you could buy them at Kmart for 79.99 lol...59.99 at Christmas
I hate when Pete asks "what are you trying to get out of it". That's such a scam move. of course everyone wants to get as much as they can for the item.
if the guy thinks his banjo would sell easily for a 1000$ - WHY isn't HE selling it for a 1000$??? he's not in petes place because he knows it can be sold for 1000$. and pete should have stayed at 150 - he threw money away on that deal.
'...by the way, this is a shoe polisher' 😂
That Duran Duran The Reflex is good!
Wow you received some neat post cards today.
on the brass you need to look up the serial numbers.
Idk if you guys will see this but make sure you don't ship your cat in a box . I just heard someone returned something to amazon and their cat got inside the box and was shipped to Cali. 6 days without water . Poor thing
What is that cast iron Daisy antique at 1:44, thank you
Ppl always get the motor mouth when Pete starts checking out the item😂 nerves
Phillips screws were starting to be used in early 30's
Have you any fly fishing rods? And do you ship to Canada?
How many poles does it take to screw in a light bulb?
He did say he's a retired salesman
Lmao data from the goonies selling his homemade instruments 😂😂😂
If you could get $1000 for the banjo...he would not be in the shop trying to sell it! He would have sold it himself!
lol Duran Duran ,, You'd have to pay Me... Also Kevin is a complete Fool
oh man send it to the uk and I buy it from you ,,I pay for the post
Thumbs up for Otto 👍🏽
Got played like a fiddle 😂😂
Noticed the African grey a few times. New bird???
Very rare seeing a Japanese American in Chicago selling instruments
Peter you should know to go with your gut instinct cause it’ll always save you.
Pete love the videos. Do you have any LP from the band Phish or anything from them !? Thank you!
Hey I wanna send a postcard to help Otto out with the youtube algorithm!
That music guy is a character 😅
Pete, your youtube merch store link on your site is not working
Great video as always, but... chewing gum at work and in front of customers. That is bad.
Good thing no one cares
He was giving a good deal on those instruments 🤷 just because it’s not your forte Pete, should have bought em😂
