DI Braithwaite is here to take your statement after you have been the victim of a crime in Queensland, Australia. He’s new to his role, and so is a little… unprofessional. But otherwise, he means well, and will do his best to offer you support and reassurance wherever he can. Yeah, it's another himbo roleplay.
This interview ASMR includes lots of personal questions, writing sounds, as well as soft-spoken affirmations and assurances with a dulcet (bad) Australian accent. Enjoy!

Mate, as an Australian.. I have to say .. your "I'm a Aussie Copper from the Outback " accent is pretty damn good, In fact, you would of passed with flying colours if you auditioned for any of the Australian 80's cop shows we had back in the day! HAHAHA! But seriously, not many folk can nail it - and you did a pretty damn fine job if I may say so ^_^
You realise he's D.I Braithwaite.
Remove the I and it's D Braithwaite
As in Daryl Braithwaite 😂
If the police in my city looked like this, I'd break the law all the time.
Me too!!! I would be a repeat offender....😁
Me too with a sweet cop like him 😄
sussy pfp
@@CUENTAALAZAR Who says I'm not 😔✋🏽💔
@@cathyskywalker77 You and I both 🤧✨
As an Aussie I’m super impressed with this accent! It’s a tough one to master, easy to butcher, and often really cringey to listen to, but this is fantastic Jim!! And the use of slang 👌🏼
As an Australian (and a queenslander no less) this is pretty accurate, he even messed up and said aw shit after saying cheers to someone outside, convinced I'm actually just imagining this experience through the lens of youtube as some sort of weird fever dream. In summary, good job!
Queenslander!
How’s state of origin
Another Queenslander here 😁😁
@@user-rt6vp6uo3b shhhhhhhhhh
@@Bobby_Nickels hello there
I am early for this one. I love my cop procedural TV shows. You nailed it, Jim. I also like the ambience sound in the BG, and I think it adds too it.
I'd be very on edge if I was interrogated in a police office by you Mr. T.
@@TirarADeguello That's reassuring. lol
As an Aussie myself I’m impressed! Most people attempting the accent make me cringe but Jim’s is so good!
Definitely one of the best attempts I’ve heard at an Aussie accent. Feels very outback, like I’m here for sheep-related crimes. And the cordial bit really struck home for me, as someone who can’t stand plain water! Great job, from someone down in the forgotten part of Australia (Tasmania) 🐨
I can't do plain water either.
Another himbo roleplay? Exactly what I needed today ^_^
Australia is so big that the accents change, just like anywhere else in the world. As someone born and bred in Brisbane, Jim's accent is broader like you'd hear out in the outback or down south (regional Victoria). Some slight variances like saying "chance" with the British ch-ar-nce is very Melbourne, I think. I also notice that Queenslanders (especially up north near Cairns) say "important" with clear t sounds. Around Melbourne say "impor-dent" with the lazy t sound. The lifted "a" sounds on the ends of words like "over" (pronounced "ova") is perfect. Us Aussies tend to be lazy with our vowels. I say Australia like A-stray-a. 😂
fucken oath.
If you were a real ocker you’d say Os-traya 😉
I’m A Geordie tell me about it like 😂.
Hmmm as a mebournian I’d say Charnce is more SA, because I’d say chance but also sometimes the more British pronunciation but rarely, I also don’t think any blokey aussie cop would say charnce
I only knew Stanley for a little over 35 minutes… but If anything happened to him, I would kill everyone in this room and then myself. I love him so much
👍😆
99 :)
you okay? 💀💀💀💀
ahh, rosa diaz ;)
I understood that reference
Huh. I actually got phone-jacked a few years ago and had to make a police report in order to get an insurance replacement. That incident is what came to mind when this video started, and then, what do you know…? Sometimes it’s like Jim can read my mind. 100% wish “Stanley” had been the officer to take my report back then. 🖤
Jim’s himbo videos give me life
This made me realize that I’ve never actually spoken to anyone with an Australian accent in real life lmao
i knew this kid once who faked an accent just because he thought it was funny and he wanted to see how long hed fool us. it was summer school so we didnt have time to talk that much and he told us all that it was fake. and that is the closest ive ever gotten to talking to a real australian. his accent was SPOT on
Here to pick up my regularly scheduled prescription of himbo roleplays from jim :)
The all atmosphere (lights, background's sounds and "costume") is really good and realistic! Well done, love it! 👍👍
Stanley was very kind and reassuring 😊 the lighting was rather soothing too- wonderful job! ✨
this man has to many faces everytime so different omg
Certified shapeshifter
And that’s great ⚡️
the way he asks for your pronouns and tells you his as well 🥺🥺 thank you 🥺🥺
or stanley. do not forget or stanley
I absolutely love Jim's American and Australian accents precisely because they don't sound quite right. For some reason that makes them even more tingly to me than if they were totally accurate.
He isn’t American? Is he English?
@@EvolvedDinosaur yes, he is.)
@@EvolvedDinosaur British but yeah :).
@@lemonade_011 england is in britain
@@Alice-pt9ij yeah but we don’t know if he’s English or Aswell just a good actor lol
So that’s why everyone says British.
I've know this Stanley for a couple minutes and if anyone even threatened him I'd destroy them and everyone they love and then cuddle the poor baby.
I’m aussie so I had to click on this purely out of curiosity to see how’d you go with the Aussie accent lol
you are very talented I’m astounded by the amount of different accents and roles that you nail! Very impressive
I clicked for the same reason as well as I enjoy watching what Jim posts, I honestly braced myself to cringe cause I've heard a lot of butchered Aussie accents and thought I was gonna be hit by another. I was pleasantly surprised.
What part of Aus are you from?
@@licietheskeleton I’m from the Hawkesbury NSW 😊
Discovery Coast QLD
West Aussie here. The accent is pretty darn good. Nice work, Jim. Relaxing vid as always
As an Australian myself I can say that s spot on 😂, haha good job , kinda reminded me of that time I had to go to the police station to give my victim impact statement when I got assaulted 😅, friendly as hell cop , love it ❤️🇦🇺
"mine? He/him. Or Stanley" hi can I have Stanley's hand in marriage
What?
@@Tavemanic 5:50
@@teenagecannibal oh
How come no one is talking about the aussie accent being on point?
People are…?
@@NovaLaMasonthat comment was 1 year ago, perhaps at that time there were none or not many xD
Me : I'm not really a fan of ASMR, i don't find it relaxing at all.
Jim : uhm, hi, you alright ?
Me : *calmness has been achieved.*
Mate trust me, as an Aussie, you nailed this. Absolute legend
As an Aussie I often get frustrated with how awfully bad American or British attempts are at our accent…
This one was far above average, even for professional film and TV standards. Bravo Jim 😊😊👏🏻👏🏻
This is going to be amazing!! Thx a lot for your super quality videos, you should really have way more subscribers!
I've been fortunate enough not to experience a house break-in. I'm not sure if Stanley's story is from Jim's own life, or if this is just extremely good acting (which of course is none of my business), but no matter what, I do hope that anyone who's had to go through such an ordeal feels safer now.
This man is an impressive shape shifter. He looks like a completely different person in every thumbnail I see
EVERYTHING in Stanley's demeanour is SO precious I love him and I want to protect him! :'
🎵Woop woop that’s the sound of the police🎵
“Friendly Aussie cop” is not a description that aged well
most police rp and irl situations scare me but this was calm and slightly funny. i really felt like a good, kind and calm cop was trying to help me.
As an Australian, I can say his accent is on point. Especially since he doesn't make it over the top
Spectacular wholesome content I needed 💛
Your bedside manner is lovely and soothing, not to worry! Thanks For taking good care of me in this situation ❣️
The best cop I've ever seen ☺☺
Lovely roleplay great accent and then I really like when your look is so natural!!! 💖💖💖
Our Jim is master of accents.
I was honestly prepared to laugh at the accent as an Aussie myself but damn you did a pretty good job
Hi Jim. This is relaxing. Your acting, the accent alone, really shows your skill and dedication to your role-play.🌠🖤
The writing sounds are wonderful. This is very relaxing.😌
You can see him sweating it truly is an aussie PI
Oh my god, he did the accent better then I thought. I’m also an Aussie
Jim how tf are you this good at accents
As an Aussie, well done! Not just the accent but the idioms as well :D
“Do you want a glass of wa-“
“Am I free to go?”
“I-“
“I want a lawyer.”
This is so nice, and pretty accurate. (As someone who has given a statement to the Police, different crime but still) Accept I hope DI Braithwaite actually arrests the perp and not let him off through lack of evidence! The UK justice system leaves somewhat to be desired.
Your videos are so good every single time!!!! This one is really good!!!
First of all, the blonde hair. that threw me for a hell of a loop. I don't know why it made me laugh, but it looks pretty stylish my guy. Secondly, Queensland! woo people know we exist!
The accent was pretty damn good I'd say, and the video was really enjoyable, so props to you for the effort. (ps. you still have the best hellsing asmr video ever, I selfishly hope to see another one, one day!)
Wow, a genuinely good accent! I especially loved the multiple-choice question and answer stuff, really relaxing atuff
someone give this man an oscar!
Just one??
Thank you for saying postcode and mobile! (It's not area code or cell over here.) You're a legend Jimbo. 🇦🇺🦘🐍
This is a better Aussie accent than most professional British or North American actors can muster, congrats Jim! I had a good chuckle at Braithwaite though hahaha.
Also I know nobody asked but I used to work for the police in both my state and federally and I've never heard anyone use the DI/PC abbreviations, I think that's just a British thing. So if you ever return to this character/do another Aussie cop for some reason they say their ranks in full.
I noticed the DI/PC thing at the start too and you're right, pretty sure it's just a Pommie thing. I know here in Queensland, detectives go with their police rank i.e. Senior Sergeant and just add 'Detective' before it, end result being for example Detective Senior Sergeant Braithwaite.
I could be wrong 🤷 , great roleplay tho, best Aussie accent in ASMR beside real Aussies!
Cheers
Really appreciated all the "being really brave" parts.
My Astralian Accent is on point and hearing him makes my heart burst into hapiness
I wish you had a Tik-Tok because I want to RP the other side of most of your videos sooooo bad! And this one's one of my favorites!
Ain't nothing better than a blond, golden retriever vibes Aussie man. Just PERFECTION.
Hey bro!!
What can I say?? I’m a new subscriber and at this point I can’t even tell whether your American, British or Australian🙌🏽 and I’m a New Zealander!! Really appreciate your work ✨
Thank you for this!! I can get a good night sleep now :)
You're amazing! I love your channel! Keep up the amazing work! Love all your videos! ^•^ 💜💕
bro should have auditioned for the role as that cop in The Dry that accent is dead accurate for the outback!
Are you at all able to do a Dr. Chase roleplay from House? Would love to see that! Great video as always!
Spot on accent 10/10 probs a more Sydney area accent but yeah it could go as a Gold Coast one
I wonder if Stan has any relatives in Blackpool?
im utterly in love with his characters. jim is always amazing
Jim talking ........ Droped my pen made me laugh but at the same time i was scared when the pen fell😂
Ah Jim, your Aussie accent and mannerisms were so familiar to me, an Aussie girl, that my tingles for the ' exotic ' went missing in action. Have you been here in Oz?
Stanley is just like my uncle Ron, a decent, good bloke Aussie detective cop. They're not all good blokes though of course.....so some being a few flies in his ointment.
I grew up travelling and living all around Australia and know that people usually have a mix of the slight differences in Aussie accents due to many transferring to different states and territories, usually for work. Stanley's slow old Queensland drawl would have me pick him as a banana bender easily. (QLD state known for banana production). I'm a sandgroper from Western Australia myself. The state known for the mildest accent and bloody sand everywhere and into everything. I guess we just mildly plough on through our day while casually dealing with this expected, everpresent mess. You can tell newbies to this state by their frantic car and house cleaning cyclonic dust up frenzies. They soon learn.
Excellent work Jim.
Also you might be interested that some of my ancestors were a Welsh farming family from Carmarthen and came with the first fleet of settlers to help set up the Swan River Colony in Western Australia. The Llewellyn-Jones family. By their letters and family word of mouth history it certainly wasn't what they were expecting ! Hardship, starvation, abandonment, after being deposited, by the British government, along with other Brit settlers. Then saved and educated, by the local Aboriginal people, in their language and survival skills and spiritual lore. Tragically, these saviours were later massacred by British troops, of various national Brit origins, employed to push for more land as the years went by and the growing population brought more monied up land seekers. We are now pushing to deal with the recognition of past injustices toward, and reconciliation with, the first nation Aboriginal people, by way of admitting and bringing such injustices to light through various media and events. Also , I hope it will come to light , that good people among the invaders, who objected to these murders and other crimes, were overrun and silenced by those with authority and their actions to defend were buried from sight of public record.
Jim I really appreciate how your asmr site contains within it the whole mash up of the human condition, of character traits,, history and just and unjust circumstances and the tangle of whys and hows, using both fact and fantasy parallels to reality. All moving toward a better understanding of humanity and humanness. You really are a solid contributor to moving us all forward and upward.
Feel free to blush sweetie....I mean it.
friendly cop is the way you know this is an rp
Hey Jim! Your accent in this video makes me think that you should do a mad max asmr!
Jim mate, your Australian accent is awesome. I’m Australian. 👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️

I remember being stuck in a hospital as a kid for about a week and it sounded just like this
Love this.. the accent is perfect!!
That’s the way it’s gotta be little darling! You’ll be riding on the horses! … love it Detective Braithwaite
Jim says Stanley, I hear Centrelink instead for some reason.
The video is doing its job.
never notice but I dig the Thelema tat on the right arm, cheers for the awesome vid
Yay now I can simulate getting arrested in my own country 🤣
You’re pretty good at the accent a little over the top but dang by far the best!
Aussie accents are my kryptonite. As a scandi I cannot get enough of them.
G'day

Adding to my sleep asmr playlist
also i think youd do a good riddler from gotham :0 seems like your type of character too
i am Australian, and you have done reeeeeeally well at recreating a personable aussie cop, its really odd that the female cops here sound more aggressive than the male cops half the time hahaha.
thats how it is in america too. probably just have to deal with more bs
Omg good cop roleplay amazing ^^
not gonna lie i listen to this too regularly its kinda concerning. dunno what it is about this video specifically but it's altered my brain chemistry and im addicted
I'm australian, and I'm two mknutes into the video. Gotta say, your accent is fucking spot on. But I haven't heard anyone say hooley dooley since 2006, and not ever as a way to describe an event, only about the actual hooley dooleys. Thanks for the throwback though XD
You look like Mads Mikkelsen’s Hannibal in the thumbnail and I am HERE for it
You low key look like Ryan Gosling in this, now I need a Drive video
Heya, Jim! Just in time for my nocturnal self to head to bed. Hope you're well today.
I wish I had a nice cop yesterday ;-; I can't even hear the words cops, justice or police anymore. I was treated like shit. Still, very relaxing^^
Everytime i'm curios what the knocking at around 16:20 is
Im still trying to figure out how to do the Aussie accent
Yes another video!! whoohoo
