  • Happy Rhodes, January 29, 2005 (1st show), at the Tin Angel in Philadelphia, PA, performing the first song she ever put on tape: "The Suicide Song" a bonus track on the CD of her album Rhodes I.
    Featuring Bon Lozaga on guitar and Hansford Rowe on bass. Drummer Bob Muller was kept at home due to a burst pipes emergency (she tells the story at the beginning of "The Chosen One").

    The first time I heard this properly and in full, was early 1998, at Mary Potter Hospice in Wellington NZ. I had put the cassette of Happy Rhodes into a stereo outside my mum"s room when she was dying. I came down the stairs from the family flat, where I was planning the funeral to her request, to hear this song. I now associate this song with her xxxxx

    @LietMonty There much be an issue with your sound card. I just clicked on half a dozen other videos, and this is about as loud as any other acoustic track on UA-cam. I mean, if there was a technical issue, one of the nearly 14,000 other viewers might have mentioned it.
