I passed my ADI part 2 yesterday at the first attempt due to your videos , I did have 2 days of part 2 training with my local team but I gained more from watching all your part 2 videos and taking notes of all the areas you critiqued , many thanks I have started watching your part 3 ones now , once again thank you , your supportive kind style is something I will try to emulate .
I think you were quite nice on him on this one, throughout the video I was thinking why isn’t marking some minors, and I could see the dissatisfaction in your face. But at the debrief I hear you say he has a test tomorrow and it made sense, I agree with you. You didn’t want to hurt us confidence and decided to give feedback on the things he needed working on the most.
At 12:40 he saw a car bombing up behind him and, not wanting to go over the speed limit, slowed down to allow space between him and the lorry and to let the maniac passed. Not a fault. Also, he was being aware and was planning (moved to the right lane to allow fast joining traffic on the slip road.) I'm a bit surprised you made those comments.
@@Mike.Cebert looking through the back window isn't necessary, you literally have a mirror that does that for you. Plus when you're facing backwards looking out the back window you're not seeing what the front of the car is doing and you've got next to no peripheral vision.
It’s PUL push steering. Aim to pull down when turning. It’s the preferred technique but not necessary as long as steering is smooth, accurate and under full control. Rotational steering may be used for slow speed manoeuvres or to control a skid where rapid hand movement is necessary..
@@dexinhuang5521 because if you press right indicator and you on a left lane people will think that you turning to the middle of the roundabout and people on a right lane will drive close to you - both lane are for right turn , but if you take left lane then you can’t apply indicator right as cars on left lane will think you are moving in front of them ..
Would a signal have benefited anyone here? No one approaching from the 1st exit! 3 lane RBT, he was in outside lane, where else would he be going? A signal here is not required, but it wouldn’t have hurt I guess? Remember this is an advanced driving test so we expect the candidate to be aware of their surroundings and use signals when they would benefit others.
It was my understanding that missing signs or junctions weren't minor faults, I've had pupils completely miss understand route directions and not be marked down for them. I also feel that when you said take the next road on the right you didnt clarify how soon it was. Alert, Direct and Identify? After stopping and you resumed the normal directions you didnt mark him for missing hos interior mirror when passing the parked cars. maybe I'm too critical? Agree with the obs reversing, but whats the rules on reversing cameras? /reverse parking manoeuvre: obs, he didn't look out the back window. Did I miss a serious fault for use of mirrors? lots of single mirror checks but a lack of interior mirrors? I should add that i was a grade 6 before I stopped teaching 10 years ago and now requalifying. are the standards different down south as i've watched numerous mock tests, both adi and L and have been surprised at the number of things not marked. yep, I know examiners are pretty fair, but we are watching these videos to see examples of what to do and what not to do. again, maybe i'm too critical, but at this level of test, expertese is expected.or at least thats what i had hammered into me first time round. My ADI trainer was a retired Assistant Chief Examiner. I qualified in 2004 and stopped teaching in 2013.
It’s not a fault to go the wrong way. If the candidate is missing clear information such as signs during the independent drive, they are showing a lack of awareness and planning, which is a fault. I thought his mirror use was fine, he was aware of his surroundings and responded well throughout the test
I'm currently training for my part 2. my ADi instructor has me check blind spot when changing lanes on a dual carriageway and motorway, I noticed that your pupil didn't apparently. Is this considered a fault ?
No, just need to be aware by checking the mirrors. If it’s all last minute, then defo check blind spot before changing direction. A planned approach is obviously best
There is a lot about driving tests I disagree with. Calling it a fault to not make a rear check when you have already done one is daft. As a driver and motorcyclist, I recognise that where the head turns, the body follows. You are likely to steer the car into the curb if you keep turning around all the time. Also, I see far too many people indicating while turning and not before. This is because they have learned the very stupid order of MSM. The order of Mirror and Signal are independent to each other in terms of safety and usefulness. If you use your mirror and then see it is safe to carry on, your indicator is only just coming on when you are already performing the manoeuvre, which renders the indicator useless and has taken away information other road users could have used. i.e. you know you are going left, so indicate as soon as it is applicable. Your observations should be prior to the manoeuvre and not be relevant to the signal. Just my own thoughts.
I was wondering if anyone could help me out or point me in the right direction. I need to book my ADI part 2 but when i try to book it online it says no tests available on any dates, it does not make a difference if i change the date or location. Any help would be highly appreciated.

Passed my part 2 today. Your mock test videos have played a massive part in me passing. Thank you so much !!
How did you book it? I am getting ‘no tests available on any dates’ when i try to book it.
Hi
I passed my ADI Part 2 test today with 3 driving faults. Your videos helped a lot. I just wanted to say thank you very much.
Great job! Well done and thanks for letting us know

@42:15 Reverse slowly while (looking mainly through the rear window)!
He took all round effective observations
@@How-2-drive what are you talking about!? He did NOT look back through the rear window once when reversing into the space!

No blind spot check when car is swinging out 42:32 parrerel park with white car serious fault
For Part 2, is going the wrong way a fault? You gave him one at 17:41. Just wondering as in the regular driving test, that would not be a fault right?
Missing the turn wasn't the fault, reacting late to the second turn was the fault.
Hello,do i fail for stalling, for adi part 2 thank you
No, as long as you don't present a danger to anyone else
did he pass ?
Question. What visual/training aids do you use? Thank you. Seen one for £60 but not sure whether it’s worth it.
Try DITA. They do good quality visual aids, they are around £60

@53:15 Indicate right signal required approaching Roundabout? to benefit other road users
its because both lane are for right turn - look on the arrow on the approach, and you cant drive on a left lane with right indicator on .
Why cannot right indicate? The left lane is for both directions, look at the road marking!

When we move off every time , do we have to signalled every time even if there is no one behind?

Just check with your insurers if covered for test

No signal required. No one to benefit

Provided sufficient mirror checks are made, no DF
