Dumont’s approach is so calm and gentle. He is more concerned with color and beautiful tone than loud, aggressive fingerwork. I thoroughly enjoyed it. As for Liszt ‘s transcriptions, a source of endless inspiration!
I have been listening to these transcriptions for about a year now and I have come to love and enjoy them very much. To appreciate and explore them even more, I started to explore their Wagner origins and have so far discovered incredible music from Wagner himself - just as Liszt originally intended for other people to do so, when he transcribed them. Thank you for posting these so much!
This was unexpected for me. A clever piece of composition by a Wagner 'afficionado'. Liszt had some surprising quirks. The whole was well performed and most enjoyable. Thanks.
When you think you ve listened to everything Liszt composed, and suddenly a new 1h set appears in youtube. Damn, where did he get the time from to be able to compose that much? Beethoven transcriptions, hungarian rhapsodies, etudes, concertos, elegies, reminiscences, polonaises, symphonic poems, concerto etudes, annes de pelerinage...
I'm wondering whether these transcriptions are published in one collection and whether I might be able to purchase them? I love Dumont's performances of Liszt's transcriptions here; moreover, Dumont's renderings are just so precise and articulate, yet thrilling and aesthetic!

Richard Wagnert Liszt közvetíti, Liszt Ferencet pedig a zongorísta Francois Dumont - kitűnően.
Superb, thank you.
